I have most of what I need for Sal's 25 action now. But, I've sort of promised to get Gary L's 50 out next.

I've gone back and forth as to what's most effecient. In the end, I'm one guy. I can do one operation at a time. I try to play what the day hands me too. So; if the weather co-operates (it still works me over in cool wet weather), but I'll get all of these farther along. Get this 50 action wrapped in wood.

Wow, the rifling twist in that top barrel is REALLY tight.

That's right. That's my Bull Barrel Back yard twist. When the slug hits that twist, it uses a good hundred yards of energy going round and round. Exits at about 50 feet per second.

Actually, if I'm doing the math right it would spin a LOT faster, even at 50 feet per second.

At 20 threads per inch, it would work out to 720,000 revolutions per minute. And at 32 TPI it would be a whopping 1,152,000 RPM. A pure soft lead bullet would probably exit the muzzle as a rapidly expanding disk, soon to dissolve into a fine spray of droplets moving away from each other at high velocity while generally trending towards the target area.

And, if you had the detectors - and were a thousand feet underground in a flooded Cavern, you may be able to detect the Higgs track ....

I thought that rpm created the Gary's Boson?
