Nice! It does look better in natural light.
Thanks,

I found a few things to correct. I've applied a few more coats of stock oil. It's nearly cured. The stock is complete. The Action has been complete. I'll soon be able to assemble.

Thks for reading.

I agree, it will be nice to see it with the action in it. Oh, on second thought, nevermind, I would just want one...

Now THAT is a tempting idea Sal. Hey, today when I found I needed a stock ring, found scratches on the hammer tube extension, AND found I'd not yet sanded and polished the front barrel ring .... If I'd have heard your idea, it could have saved me time and aggravation today. winking smiley

I'll post some pics later. Just came up from the shop. Coffee.

That's some fine piece of stock Gary, beautiful grain. Great work on the carving and I believe that we all expect that it will fit like a glove on the rifle. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Exactly Jerry. Spoken like a fellow traveler. Ha.

Hey, I think everybody is trying to kill me. I crawl gasping, pushing the phone before me with my chin. I quickly spellcheck ...stunned ... always spellcheck Jerry ....

I hit "post message" by beating my face repeatedly on the phone's screen .... I wait ... .... ...???........... one half glazed eye on the numbers of visitors .... while hitting "refresh" with my left hand (which I power by grasping my left thumb in my teeth, and allowing my hand to drop onto the phone screen ... I've gotten quite good at this Jerry).

And ... Finally ... a response. "can't wait to see the next step". uummmuhhhh???

Today's project later ...

Not a chuckle. I got a couple of good belly laughs just typing it up. Sad. More sad

Where did I fail? ...... Never mind, not the complete list .....
