Is it me or this Model 97 is larger than the previous Mod. 97? I'm just using your hand as a reference.

Here's a pic I took with the new knife sides and I laid my 97 in the pic.

I'm very glad you like it. As you know, a Mdl. 97 can be different sizes and shape, it's the mechanism that makes it a 97. Smooth button lock. Melt in your mouth - right Kurt? Ha.

How true it is Gary ! Smooth as silk and I haven't had to adjust the anvil either .

Remember I'm the only one with a dragon blade too . Jeff was drooling on it at the skeeter shoot . He's actually got a dragon tattoo .

I'll be straight up honest also , I'm HARD on tools and expect a lot and I'm dead serious about carrying that knife for a couple years in my pocket . Not with a sheath . It's tuff as woodpecker lips ! My favorite of all time knifes!

I carried that knife for at least a year, I think. Maybe more. I used it hard too.

Gary,

That is one fine looking knife! Handle almost has a slight flame appearance in the second picture. Amazing how you make this knives come "alive" from various parts of steel, bone, tusks and other materials!

Even though I carried my very similar MD 97 Alloy knife for over 3 yrs in my pocket and regularly used it , Im still really excited to see your new one and can't stop staring at it . The pics showing the engraving contrast in the aluminum make it pop PppppPOW !Bang! Bang!
smileys with beer I can't even imagine how many hours you invested but know it was well worth every minute!

Words can't describe this one, it's art work at its finest to say the least!! The detail is awesome some quality work! Nice job! As I mentioned I would like to snatch another blade from you in early fall/November if you happen to have any of that 90s colored tusk to set a side I would greatly appreciate it... Vary nice work on the 97 thanks for sharing it!

Thanks I appricat it, it will be used in the field that's why I prefer the skeeter tusk easy clean up, the buck knife I have know is not nearly as sharp as what you can produce! It's just one of them cheap cookie cutter brand knifes lol.... Big fan of tusk tho, not really haveing to worry about damaging is a plus for me!
