Found the plans for the strobe controller here . . . or you can buy the kit for $125. I guess you COULD use it for bigbore if you shot at night and shielded the camera . . . hmmmmmm. Apparently the unit can be triggered by either light or sound, and you can daisy-chain DJ-type strobes together together to give yourself more light (kinda like Winston Link's famous nighttime photos of the steam lby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Very interesting . . . at first I thought he was just using an $80k+ industrial camera, but I clicked into the slideshow and apparently he built his own 1/1,000,000th second flash trigger using a laser with a variable delay -- and a plain old Nikon DSLR like I have! When the pellet breaks the laser, it triggers the flash (this can only be done in a darkroom, so no bigbore I guess). I'm Googlingby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Nice rig . . . I've got one of those BugBusters (mine's 6x) but found the eye relief rather short. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Gary's 4x Simmons, which has about a mile of eye relief (shotgun scope). -- Jimby admin - The Picture Gallery
Heheh . . . that's like you coming to me with a broken Babbage difference engine and me telling you I'm too busy setting some other guy's new laptop. Too funny. -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Aha, but also don't forget that some men work on the house and keep the wife happy . . . and others live alone. -- Jimby admin - Video Library
Gary, in that last pic you look like the guy in Jurassic Park digging for the prehistoric bugs trapped in amber. "MOSQUITO!" -- Jimby admin - Video Library
Lame, I know . . . but the area I was working on will eventually house my own "shootin' shack"! -- Jimby admin - Video Library

Great post and shooting guys. Sorry I missed it . . . was stuck here all day throwing around railroad ties and #57 gravel. -- Jimby admin - Video Library
Well done. -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Man, I knew there would be trouble when Kent posted the Ballistic Bear. Good work. Dragons need to be on the receiving end of sharp, pointy objects. How about some darts? -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Neil: Yeah, I can shoot Raptors and Shrikes (Gary's pointed slugs at ~235 gr.) in the Scout, and they're very accurate, but probably a tad heavy for the rifle. It likes .454 roundball best, and I get around 700 fps for just under 150 fpe. Probably 180 fpe with the Raptors . . . would have to look it up. The Scout has a small reservoir in the stock. It's good for two full power shots,by admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Very cool . . . thanks for posting. Sorry for my lack of comments etc. today . . . it's been a loooooong day. -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I think people have been conditioned to "walk away" because of the liability issues. Why get involved if you can be blamed for it? After all, if a confrontation had happened which made it into court, you'd be dead meat because 1) you stopped them from expressing their "freedom of speech" 2) they're minors and can literally get away with anything in this country up to and including murder 3) theby admin - I'm just sayin'
Heheh . . . we've even got an icon for when Gary applies the cotton threads! -- Jimby admin - I'm just sayin'
My guess is he might be willing to do everything but the service and repair. Heck, he might even be able to find a partner, also based in MD, to help out, and to sell said rifles through a "gallery" storefront right on this very website . . . -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
#2, that particular Tundra Mag, has always been one of my faves. If its current owner ever wanted to sell it, I'd find a way to cough up a big ole check! -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hang in there tough guy! You'll be back in the shop and digging yourself out from under an endless ribbon of stainless steel before ya know it! -- Jimby admin - I'm just sayin'
Actually Gary . . . if it were a post-Katrina pic, you'd see the Louisiana National Guard clubbing us and taking our rifles away in front of a Dateline camera man. Anyway, I completely agree. This thread is TOO BIG TO FAIL! -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I can vouch for my Scout 45 being extremely accurate with roundball. Lots of folks at the Cajun Cup tried it out, and it quickly became a favorite on the Woods Walk due to its light weight. It's a great, fun offhand gun which happens to be powerful enough to take a deer. Having said that, late in the afternoon on the second day when we were all tired, I plopped down in a chair, clipped onto aby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Great post and killer guns. Always liked the Rapids . . . gonna get me a shrouded MKII some day. -- Jimby admin - The Hunting Camp
Heheh . . . lookin' good. I could've used one of those around Christmas when we had mice in our attic. Have you chrony'd the Kodiaks and buckshot? And, of course, how quiet is it? Power adjust on that one? Two stage trigger? Inquiring minds wanna know. -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Sure . . . like a FAQ made of stickeys. However, Jerry, you're assuming people are bothering to search all of those other forums rather than just being lazy and asking their question for the 1000th time. It couldn't hurt . . . in fact, I nominate Gary to answer, "Can I get a shrouded, full-auto, titanium 3000fpe pistol that gets 200 shots per fill and shoots flatter than a laser beam?"by admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Correct . . . the "bad cop" vigilante in Magnum Force used a stainless .357 Magnum. Kinda like Kent's actually . . . hmmmmmm. -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
