Gary would really be slowed down, if his was that big. He would spend half his time walking between machines. Doryby Dory - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Joe, How long do you let the water/lye set before you rinse it off? And how do you make the water lye solution? Doryby Dory - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I was out trimming some trees on my Dad's tree farm, and ran across a couple of cherry trees mixed in with the walnuts and oaks. Gary, It got me thinking, have you made any stocks out of American cherry? The wood is a lot like mahogany starts out light, darkens over time and not to heavy. Gary's not back from his trip looks like. But I can tell you about what he would say. He's already built pistols. If you go through his web site you can find different ones. Their not any cheaper and he still has to build them like the rest, one piece at a time and their are just as many parts. Just smaller tubes and barrel. Doryby Dory - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
It would be interesting at, our velocities, if they would even go that far. Gary would have to either build a real high scope mount to shoot over barrel or build one that sits off the side. Doryby Dory - The Target Trophy Lodge
Neil, Love your post. I agree, someday will have to have a shoot there. I like getting up in middle of night or early morning and find a post here, usually from you. Doryby Dory - The Target Trophy Lodge
Gary, You mentioned a while back that you reduced the twist rate, to check out the ballistics. Any follow comments on that?by Dory - Gary's Galleries
Wow, a 60" barrel that would be interesting. Just kidding Gary. Doryby Dory - Gary's Galleries
Trees get rid of their toxins by either putting it in their leaves or their old wood. Trees that make good fence post and outdoor lumber, cedars, walnuts, black locust, teak, osage orange. Yes, black walnuts make good fence post. I like the smell of red oak but it wouldn't make a good gun stock with it's porous wood. That's why a lot of tropical plants you have in the house are poisonous.by Dory - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I meant when you were squirrel hunting. You won't be able to use a tripod. Doryby Dory - Video Library
I saw a cam that mounts on top of your scope. You get those action shots then. Doryby Dory - Video Library
Gary, I thought that what you were looking for something Southern with all that space. Land, probably, is at it's best value right now. Maybe we ought to all pitch in, buy a big place down South, with room for some snowbird cabins and a shop for you. Last month Kimball Intl. sold off all their land holdings KY/IN 27,000 acres in different sizes, for and average of $1800 acre. It was alby Dory - Gary's Galleries
Gary, Yeah, I like the "new" slimmer, lighter guns. Very practical from a hunting standpoint. Just looking at it, doesn't look like it would have that much power. I also like the 700+ power of the Yukon class. But you can't have both. You guys need to find a 200-300yd range. Buy a ATV that fits in the back of the war wagon. So you can explore the long range limits of these guby Dory - Gary's Galleries
Gary, I liked that slider. It really makes a sleek looking gun. When you open it do you use 2 fingers or do you just use your palm to slide it.? I like the longer fore stock. The guns are in about the same power range. Jim is your gun about 2 or 3 pounds heavier? Is it easier to cock with the lever mounted aft like that? Keith had the same setup. Joe, It will be at least 2 weeks, coming from Canada. Doryby Dory - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, I have a question about the front support/bracket/band. Is it required? I noticed that even on some pistols you have one. But even some long barrels, don't have one. Or is it mostly for the good looks? I know on the gunpowder side, they have real high breech pressures and worry about the harmonics of the barrel with accuracy. They don't want anything messing with that. Wby Dory - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Is that pig head the same one you shot a few years ago? Did you mount the buffalo to? Doryby Dory - I'm just sayin'
Gary, I could bring you a big chunk of stump or log and you could carve out your own seat that would fit you. Dragon's and all. There's some big walnut stumps in my Dad's woods. I tried to download some aged pictures but haven't figured out how to downsize them yet and my daughter is to busy with test this week. Karl you have already seen it. Doryby Dory - Gary's Galleries
Jim, The posting time is set on mountain time it looks like. Is that what you intended? Doryby Dory - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Will the 6500 fit on your rails without a raised mounting bracket? Doryby Dory - The Gear Shack
Gary, Is the stock the same kind of mahogany you always use?. It looks like English walnut. Does the sliding breech twist or have a catch on it. Doryby Dory - Gary's Galleries
