Ah, that pesky .25 barrel. Story goes thus- I was offered a .25 by a friend for slightly below shop price, so I went for it. The barrel was a blank and needed to be turned down, crowned etc. This was done by a very experienced lathe slave and all seemed to be good. I then had the end threaded for my fancy new silencer, but the breech section got slightly bent. So this section was removed and re-dby Pablouk - Video Library

Glad you liked it Gary Its always nice to put a face and a voice to someones 'online persona' I'm always pleased as punch to see someone in their videos. Its always a case of " Ah, THATS what you look like!!"by Pablouk - Video Library
Hmmm, glass for a Barnes Bigbore....... I'm thinking 9-50x75 fully coated, onboard range finding and 'Anti Jerry Swipe' protection! We used to make glass for the Challenger 1 MBT but I'm sure I could get the guys to downscale a bit for you! Left that trade a good few years ago but still have various scars with 20/30 grade grit still under it, and no doubt will be there for life. Now I find myby Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Please don't think I was implying that you were at death's door !! The only reason I raised the subject was because I was reading an article in the Times newspaper about how apprenticeships are on the up again in this country.. Over here, the Gov' will pay the wages of an apprentice, and give the Master various tax breaks. By the replies from you guys, I take it that it doesn't happen iby Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Jerry, just read it. It all makes perfect sense, just seems a shame for the Barnes Airgun episode to end when Gary does. All great crafts should be carried on, precious knowledge hard fought for, given to the next generation. Though of course, that knowledge is Gary's, and as such remains at his discretion weather he has the time or inclination to pass on....by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
No, my poor posting!! I was asking Tofazfou what distance HE was shooting them accurately at! We know YOU can shoot anything accurately!! (With decent glass of course!)by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
We all know that you work alone. A Barnes gun is 100% Barnes. Have you ever thought about taking on an apprentice? How do you intend to pass on 'The knowledge' you have acquired over the years??by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
What kinda distances are you shooting them Tof' ?? ( the Preds')by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Great write up Jerry, and very interseting to see the performance of the Pred' How far out would they shoot accurately do you think? Oh, and what grain are they??by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That group of rifles is awesome! I would gladly have any one (or two!) of themby Pablouk - Gary's Galleries
I think its because helium expands alot faster than air, and therefore gives you more power per psi. Have heard of people doing it, though never heard any results. In theory it should be ok to do. Maybe because its expensive that its not more widely tried/used? And yeah, compressing oxygen its a REALLY bad idea. I used to wear clean gloves when dealing with high pressure oxy units. Even grease fby Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Lol, helium would be funny! After a few shots from inside the battle wagon, you'd start to sound like a smurf!!! THAT I would like to see on a 'Jerry Video'by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Holy Cow!!! That'll be carrying some energy then!!!!! My lead plate, bulletproof jacket is gonna need a rethink......!!by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Technical stuff and videos are my favorite subjects. I like to think I know my way round a knock open valve, and have had the fun of designing them from the floor up. But its always good to hear other peoples take on them. And where would we be without the 'Jerry Videos' that he and his boys knock up for us!!by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
400gr slug you say?? Looks more like a howitzer shell going in!! Nice work as usual...by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Good job so far! As everyone says, get a shed twice the size you think you will need! Space (sq ft) times time (mins) divided by wife(boss) = full shed of junk 1 day after construction. This equation has been bourne out by many fine minds and years of proof!!!!!by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
You would of thought that the pellet halves would be showing some sort of tumbling, even so soon after hitting the razorblade. But then again, it was published in the Daily Telegraph, so ergo must be trueby Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Cool My 5 year old daughter likes shooting my springers( well, pulling the trigger at least!) Great to see kids shooting and learning to be around them from an early age. I sincerly hope to be taking my girls hunting when they are old enoughby Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Theres a good few photos, buttons to the right of picture to scroll through. I like the way he uses a laser switch just behind the target to activate the camera.by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Think you will find that dragons are out of season. Watch out for Ye Olde Gamewarden !by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Lol, sorry Jerry, but that vid of the pellet travelling all the way to the can is the best yet!! Watching that round go all the way in to the target was just too coolby Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Great videos guys Very interesting results. By the clarity of the video, you can see that you put alot of effort into getting the shots!! Nice one Hoping to getting round to mounting my camera on the gun. I can contribute to the videos too then....by Pablouk - Video Library
Gonna be beautiful. You beat me to the question Neil about accidents and revisions!! I guess any mistakes early on can be worked around, but once the main pattern is rough carved, you are commited?by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Its just picture after picture of rifles I want!! Maybe put a big notice up on your Website stating that due to the current economic climate, all Barnes guns are due a free servive and check-over (shipping not included!) Wonder how many would come out the woodwork??!!.....by Pablouk - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Awesome, just awesome!! If that bit of video doesn't demonstrate the power of these rifles then nothing will. The impact shockwave is incredible!by Pablouk - Video Library
