I picked up one of my spent slugs at about 150 yards or so, off of the range field the other day. I realized just a while ago, that it had an interesting story to tell. Here's a pic of a section of the slug. In fact ... might be fun to see what you see. And, Cedric ... are you out there Son? This one should spark something to you. Hi Guys, Well, ten days of being around the public while Kelly was away. Everyplace I went, people were coughing up a lung. Nobody would think of staying home when they're sick anymore. Every restaurant is like a TB ward. And, what a shock. I've got a burn in the chest this morning. Probably only the plague. Should be in great shape on Thursday for Kelly's mother's funeral and I guess tby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

I'll have to break out the Wii. haha. Probably does help. Kent shoots clays very well with the heavy Justice. Never really made to be a trap gun ... but works for him. Some of the Justice pages on the website have shot shell patterns. Woodsman will be lighter and faster to point. Not as much shot, but probably be enough. We were actually talking last evening about that. I recommended Spruce. Planned to get a couple of Platinum rings from a pawn shop, grind then up ... rub the dust into the wood grain (ya know Infinity brags about rubbing silver dust into the woodgrain trim ... figured we could do better). Then, finally, spray the whole thing flat black. He was laughing too hard to comment. I took that as aby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Lon, Old Grey lathe is 10 by 36 between centers. This is 12 by 36 between centers. They both have about a 6 foot long footprint. This lathe is badged ENCO. They make quite a few. I'm sure other distributers badge them differently. I've dealt with ENCO before. The stuff I bought was a good value and has served me well. I got confirmation that it's been shipped. Hello Lon, I'll go into more detail. I didn't know where you drew a comparison judgement between what I have now, and what I've ordered. I'd said that one of my current lathes is from the Civil War period, and one is nearly as old as I am. I'm 55, which I know you realize. So; I didn't see where that background described either current lathe as anything but old and simplistic. Buying a neby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Joe, This is the third time I've typed a responce to you. The forum was loading and loading and loading ... sooooo slow. yet it gave me a screen. Then, when it would catch up to a certain point ... it would dump my post draft. Clever. Anyway ... quickly. Buy the most popular size of manufacturers. It will be the most value for the money. Chris, Dude, what are you waiting for? It's killing me too! haha. Shoot the Korean pellets. Of course. It's not like anybody is watching. Now, doesn't 3,000 psi sound like alot of pressure? It is. You know those split rings on truck tires that kill people when they blow apart ... That's 125 psi. That's why they inflate the things in steel cages built to hold King Kong. Hi Joe, Regarding the tubing - it comes from everywhere. Sweden, Germany, USA, China, Italy. The German is the best. The Chinese is the worst. No matter who you talk to, or how you try to get the stuff inspected before it's shipped, you can't get the gorrila in the shipping dept. to make any decent decisions. You mention "straight", and you'll be sure to have a knot tied in the tubing wheby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Chris, That's what the 3,000 psi is for. The lead is "displaced" into the rifling by the pressure. If you can manually push a slug into the rifling with your fingers, then it's way, way, way too small. If that pellet's head is that small, and the skirt is .360", then they are intending for the head to be "bore riding" ... (see my other post to Neil... probably in the hunting section).by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Running a shop means keeping it current with materials, and machinery needs. I ordered a new machine lathe today. It will have several capabilities that my current main lathe does not have. Before you envision some hundred thousand dollar German rig ... it's not. But I'll be grateful for having the additional help in producing quality parts. In addition, I've had to adapt to what has becby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Yeah - that's just "razor wire". I was fussing at stainless steel again today. When you drill and tap into a tube ... the miserible little swarf that's kicked up inside is a real pain to remove. It won't just break off. It's real maliable and tough. You have to worry it out of there without scarring the inside of the tube, and sand it clean and true. I really hate the stuff. And now ..by barnespneumatic - I'm just sayin'
Looks normal. Should work. Try it. What's the "custom die ... make it .360" ... if it's .358" ... try it. Are they planning to "swell it?" The 38 RNFP means "round nose flat point". That red waxy stuff is lube, but it might just get in the works for you. You can just dump them in a cup of lacquer thinner to wash that stuff out. Cedric said his barrel was around .358" At this poby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Hey DJ, Thank you sincerely. Takes one to know one, doesn't it? I hope you also find a system that maintains your pain relief needs.
