So, since this post won't die a natural death, can we get it back to airgun related? Gary, What did you use to shoot that impressive boar?by Jerry - I'm just sayin'
I would think the most important reason for the forward barrel support would be for strength. I'm pretty sure that if any of my airguns had a free floated barrel it would be shooting in some random direction by now.by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Even though these are good pictures, it always looks better in person. The color just catches the light in a way that the camera doesn't record. One picture that almost proves this is the picture of Gary and Kent posing after their last hunt. Gary is holding the Woodsman and the flash lights uo the stock and part of the anodizing just right.by Jerry - Gary's Galleries

Neil, I'm looking for an independently wealthy home maker that won't find having a rifle set up on a bench facing out the back door at all times.by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I know! I've got a bunch of ideas and others have sent in some ideas which will all be cool experiments at the least but its Winter. I hate Winter. What do we have, about 30 seconds of effective daylight per day? For over a month I've been unable to combine not being at work with actual sunshine, the ability to set up a target for "filming" and the presence of helpers. I can shoot when I getby Jerry - Video Library
Hi Neil, When I shoot with a tether the tether is connected to a regulator that is screwed into the carbon tank's valve. I got mine from AirHog and it has done well. The gun only sees the pressure I select on the regulator and then self fills after every shot or when the pressure from the regulator exceeds the gun's internal presuure plus valve spring resistance (if any). Kelly, You don't think I'm protecting Gary do you??? I was just having a little "admin" site rules fun with you.by Jerry - I'm just sayin'
I uploaded those videos to photobucket.com. Once they are there you copy the provided link and paste it into the post. Use the link that has "embed" as part of it (there are 4 links provided for various purposes). Photobucket makes it pretty easy to open an account (free) and even has some editing tools.by Jerry - Video Library

I bought a Casio camera that can take video at up to 1000 frames per second. I thought it would be fun to film some airgun shots. So far the weather has not cooperated but I do have a couple videos from last month. These two were shot at 420 fps. That's a tangerine 40 yards from the muzzle. The camera was hand held just above the scope. This one is an apple taking the hit. For thisby Jerry - Video Library
545gr of lead can be a lot of fun. Here's some videos of Woodsman .62 targets. Busting up some concrete. Timmy was not expecting that level of damage! That was a chunk of concrete left over from a project. Bottle full of ice. That spinner was made for us by Gary. The big slugs can get it going but little guns don't have much impact on it. If I hit it square in the centby Jerry - Video Library
For anyone unsure: you can post pictures either by uploading them directly to the forum server using the "attach a file" link, or you can paste in a Photobucket link like most other sites. The pictures that are uploaded must be edited down to 100kb. Videos from Photobucket can also be embedded...by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That is a spectacular stock. I wonder where that gun is now?by Jerry - Gary's Galleries
Sounds good neil, come on over and make whatever you need. I"ll just stand around and drink coffee or beer and watch you work. I'm fascinated by work, I could watch it all day! Just ask Gary.by Jerry - The Gear Shack
Neil, Those are great groups! The fact that you got them with relatively light pellets makes them even better. Have you got any specs on that bench? I've added the bottom group to the "Admin's favorites" post.by Jerry - The Target Trophy Lodge
Hi Dan, At first I didn't realize that I didn't have the external source turned on. That's when I noticed that the gun was starting to shoot harder. What I found was that with the external air turned on and set to 3200 psi, I was shooting "above" the curve. Every unregulated PCP has a "curve" of air pressures that produce at least a few consistent shots at a given velocity/power level. Iby Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I was shooting the Prairie III out the back door the other day and noticed something. With the gun set to its lowest power setting it started getting louder after the 4th or 5th shot. I was shooting with the gun attached to a regulator but I had forgot to turn on the pressure. As the gun 's internal pressure dropped it was starting to shoot harder. This gun has a very effective shroud so it wby Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I see we're getting lots of views here and a good number of folks have registered. That's great and I'm happy to see it. I'm wondering if anyone is feeling inhibited from posting their experiences or questions though. Remember, it does not have to be big bore stuff and any airgun topic is fair here regardless of type of gun. We put some content up here before we opened the doors and most of tby Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Besides the carving, there are two amazing things we found when testing the XLT: It is so light and easy to point, it's like shooting a Crosman (until you pull the trigger!), and the POI was identical between 25 and 50 yards. I remember the first shots were almost "on" at 25 and only a couple clicks were made. Then we shot at 50 yards and the POI was exactly the same as the last shot at 25! Wby Jerry - Gary's Galleries

Hey Jim, Maybe you should just buy the bench from Gary instead of Surefire. I think I owe gary some retirement business... Hey wait a second! Gary, I thought you were making scope knobs for retirement!by Jerry - The Gear Shack
Neil, I don't think there were ever any actual specs for the bench. Gary made it up and I just copied what I saw. It was a fairly easy build though. All the panels come out of one sheet of cabinet grade plywood. The top and bottom panels are 3'x4' and the legs are 1'x4'. Done right, two cuts on a panel cutter (free service where I got the wood) will yield the four pieces to start from.by Jerry - The Gear Shack

Jim, You should just pay the exorbitant Surefire price for a bench instead of spending all that money on tools and bandages. Besides, that will leave more money for custom slugs...by Jerry - The Gear Shack

Hi Rob, Thanks for joining us here! You inspired me to check my back orders at Midway. They claim they will have my 32-20 mold right after New Years... That mold should drop a 93gr slug and then we just need to find the right slug. BTW, the unsized slugs will run as high as .314. Those are the ones you've been shooting well at full power. Surefire does have a 100gr slug right now that caby Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
