Dory, I don't think we have a problem capturing the action. I think the biggest problem is presenting it via a forum. If I view the same videos we show here using quicktime on my computer, I can look at any chosen frame and see what is going on. With the photobucket player I can start and stop but not scroll back and forth to see exactly what I'm looking for.by Jerry - Video Library
Rotor, It is effective on birds. I've not tried it on any clays. It would probably work on clay out to 25 ish yards but beyond that we'd have to come up with a different load. The .87 works well on clays though! Maybe someone could post something there?by Jerry - Video Library
Joe, One of these days a squirrel will find itself part of a test program... Lon, I wish that the video would play frame by frame via the photobucket player. If you watch the video using quicktime and scroll through it, it looks like popcorn as the shot balls hit the plates.by Jerry - Video Library
Here's an idea... not my idea but an idea!by Jerry - The Picture Gallery
I could watch this all day! Awesome shooting. 200 yards is a long way.by Jerry - Video Library
Neil, We've decided to charter a jet for for the entire membership of the AR site to come visit you. Is it difficult to get airguns past customs?by Jerry - The Hunting Camp
Well aren't you just bringing reality into sharp focus again? That's ok by me though. I'm interested in cannons now! If you made a little revolver for 10 meter and less shooting, it would get compared to everything from serious 10 meter guns to $19.95 airsoft guns. The Yukon... Well now, it doesn't get compared to anything does it? It's pretty much incomparable!by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
it's still neat for me and the boys! Had a little sunshine here and Timmy had some friends over. They wanted to see the shotgun in action so we decided to take a movie too. PJ got to do the shooting because while I was setting up the first shot I realized I didn't want my bald spot to dominate the frame! For the first shot we decided to go with an empty milk jug as the target. We figurby Jerry - Video Library
That rotating drum idea is neat! You can spiral load a couple hundred BBs that way and the whole thing can still be light enough to operate via a double action trigger. You'd need a single action stop for the precision work of course.by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Here's a picture of our intrepid photographer. One day he's going to have to share how he gets those 100kb pictures to look so good. I wonder if the Nikon has anything to do with it?by Jerry - Video Library
Hi Ced! I don't know how fast the shot is going for sure but I'd estimate around 600 FPS. Jim had his chrony there but wouldn't let me use it with the shotgun!by Jerry - Video Library
We had another outing with the war wagon today. After a semi-successful seat installation, we set out with four Barnes guns and did a little shooting. Gary and Jim probably have other pictures to add so I'll just cover the shotgun shooting here. We've found that you can make a pretty good shotgun shell for muzzle loading into the Woodsman. They can be made short enough to breech load but thby Jerry - Video Library
Thanks for posting Dan. There are some very interesting designs there. You are clearly not stuck in a rut!by Jerry - The Picture Gallery
Great report Jim and excellent photography. It's wonderful that Gary found the original scope knob. It looks great on the rifle. I'm surprised the original owner didn't buy it and then lose it for you!by Jerry - Gary's Galleries
Keith, I think you might want to try a little higher fill pressure as well. I'll bet that going up 200 psi gives you two shots that are real close in velocity.by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Jim, Your order has not been forgotten. In fact, Chris is making the Bishops right now and the Avalanche and Pepper Grinders are complete. I still have to price it out because SOMEBODY had to order in odd quantities... BTW, my intent is to size the big slugs to .4515 as you asked but go with .452 for the smaller slugs. We can always go down to .4515 from there but we can't go up... Giveby Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Keith, Got the order, Thanks. I'll be swinging by Gary's shop on the 1st to pick up the Bishop mold so it'll be a few days after that before we can ship.by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Now if they would shoot the Surefire ammo that fast it wouldn't be so bad.by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Keith, What was your fill pressure for those shots? It looks like you could use more air. BTW, better hurry with the order, the boys are looking to unplug the computer until the first.by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Nice post Lon. Looks like you all had a good time despite the knucklehead range guy. What a crowd at the range! No wonder folks don't shoot much. This is why everyone needs a Warwagon and a field to drive it to.by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Merry Christmas all!by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Paul, That was filmed with a Casio Exilim EX-FH20 at 420 frames per second. It is also playing back at half speed.by Jerry - Video Library
We had some extra light on this one. I hope it helps. I wish the Photobucket player would allow frame by frame viewing. It makes these vids a lot neater to watch. This one is a bottle of wine inside a clear plastic jug filled with water. Shot from the Prairie III at about as low a power as I can run it. The Rook never left the jug but if you watch frame by frame you can see that it did passby Jerry - Video Library
Had a moment to play today and while it is overcast, I thought we might have enough light for a video with a little post shoot enhancement. One of these days I'll have to get about a 6-pack of some budget soda end to end and see what happens.by Jerry - Video Library
Uh, oh. Nothing new for awhile here. I wonder if Joe and Jim are in a bidding war?by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Say, you didn't by any chance have anything to do with making those frames did you? I'm noticing a recurring theme of a nice quiet scene with only a stream to break the silence. Hmmm... Sounds like no kids, no customers, no traffic, no neighbors... We're you thinking of retirement?by Jerry - Gary's Galleries
Very nice paintings Gary! I can see!!!by Jerry - Gary's Galleries
Pablouk, Since you've not reported out results with the heavy slugs we sent: Would you er, ah ask your wife to take a few shots before any conclusions are drawn? So has she decided she enjoys the hobby now? You really deserve a re-match if you're going to get teased about it!by Jerry - The Target Trophy Lodge
Gary, It is clear that Keith has no concept of just how many times a day you take a picture and that you've been doing so for years! This is your big chance!by Jerry - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
