You can’t take something that was “Casually Built”, and improve it. If I hadn’t built the basics of my new grinding jig as I do everything, then the clamping head wouldn’t have been Square, Milled true, Parallel, Welded true, etc. And if, 40 plus years ago, I hadn’t built this grinder square and true; then it would not have been worthy of working with this accurate grinding jig.

That’s why, on occasion; you’ve seen me take a knife that was built as a simple version ... and upgrade it. It’s because the original work was accurate and better than its price point. I can’t help it. I just cannot make hack work.
