Ohhhhh . . . that makes me ill. I suppose if any "illicit" .45 Avalanches ever show up, we might be able to finally track it down. Extra ramrod too, I see. I'm 0-for-2 getting the molds back that you originally shipped with guns I've bought from the Internet classifieds. I always loved that specific Tundra Mag. What a beast. -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Nope, I'm with you . . . I meant the pellet. I have a little "collection" of pellets and slugs from .177 thru .87 right next to my monitor here, so when I read your post, I looked over at the .25 Kodiak pellet and said, "wow!" -- Jimby admin - The Target Trophy Lodge

Kodiaks did that @ 100 yards? Yikes! I've got a .25 Kodiak sitting right here next to my monitor . . . very cool that you got them going that fast. Welcome to Rendezvous. -- Jimby admin - The Target Trophy Lodge
OK . . . .jpeg should be allowed on all forums now. Not sure about the file size issue . . . apparently there's a discrepency between how Photoshop counts file size versus how PHP (the scripting language that this forum uses) counts file size. Could be a rounding issue? I don't know, but usually I resize my pics to a maximum width of 800 pixels and save them as JPEGs with medium compressioby admin - Gary's Galleries
I know that the front barrel clamp can also be used to tweak barrel alignment. Gary talked about using it to tweak the elevation on the Delta 45, for example (or to give the scope more rear elevation in effect). -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Ditto Neil: I've got the same setup from Airhog for my big bores: I had Van give me a five foot microline whip to make tank placement easier. I can even muzzle-load my Alpine 45 without de-gassing, or sit the tank on the ground and feed my Scout 45 roundball all day! As you can see in this picture, the female Foster connector on my rig also has a 90 degree elbow to help get the hoby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Just happened to have one of these lying around: So, how do you "fix" an anodized part if it gets scratched, especially one with these types of patterns? (No need to panic . . . the rifle is fine). I know you can sand and reblue steel, but what about aluminum? -- Jimby admin - Gary's Galleries
Heheh Lon . . . nope, they just show up more days than not. Couldn't resist . . . a herd of about six to eight has been laying down all day just off the edge of our front yard. Was out bringing in firewood earlier about 15 yards from them -- three wheelbarrows full. Ran a gas-powered leaf blower too. They just look at me and chew their cud. I think you were indeed using 000 buckshot, Gary. -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Rob: I know Gary has made some tooling to size triple 0 buckshot down to .340" for his ball flask rifle. I'll have to defer to him for the specifics because the day we took that rifle out, he had everything sized already and ready to go. But what you're describing certainly is possible. Oh yeah . . . they shot great too! Very accurate, and probably the sort of thing you're looking forby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Heheh . . . we have some of those "tame" deer too: This ten-pointer was about ten yards from our front door. Here in MD just north of Baltimore, they're tremendously overpopulated. We're in what's called the "Suburban Archery Zone" -- no muzzleloaders or firearms due to the proximity of the houses, but bowhunting is legal. Across town, in Howard County, some hunters accidentally shot aby admin - The Hunting Camp
I'm holding out for AC and a generator myself. I do hear that floodlights have been added since my last visit to enable night-time shooting -- really. It does indeed get pretty warm in there in the summer. I mean, when you're in the middle of a clover field with no shade and it's 90+ degrees, it's HOT. Thankfully, the angle of the sun eventually changes, and it cools off a little bit.by admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That's a beautiful area Rob . . . I have road tripped quite a bit on the Blue Ridge Parkway down there! I'd like to have some land in the NC mountains someday . . . -- Jimby admin - The Hunting Camp
Sweet. I dug this picture up from last February: We refer to Jerry's bench as the "deluxe" version, with some improvements over Gary's "beginner" version, such as the rifle rack in the back of the bench and its amazing shiny finish. Here, I'm admiring Jerry's handiwork up close while being caught by the papparazzi. These benches set up in about five minutes and are as solid as shootinby admin - The Gear Shack

Hi Neil: Welcome aboard! That's really sweet -- great setup there. I'm planning to do something very similar, but I need to test a few more slugs first. I'm thinking that either the Barnes Bishop (280 gr.) or Peppergrinder (350 gr.) will be the "default" slug for this rifle. The Bishops especially have proven to be very accurate at distance. We still need to gather more data. I'm aboby admin - The Gear Shack

I've been playing with the excellent ScopeKnob software. As a former programmer and someone who still works in technology, I'm really impressed that the author was able to articulate his passion for airguns through a valuable piece of software. The software allows you to create and print tapes for oversized elevation knobs on your scope -- very handy if you're in FT or (as in my case) you'reby admin - The Gear Shack
I went shooting with Gary back at the beginning of November with my "new" bench rifle. We wanted to get sighted in and start learning about which slugs the rifle liked the best. Some of you may remember this rifle from Standing Stone 3. We're still putting it thru its paces here.
