Hi Joe, Your knife is serial number 1055 ... completed 12-05-91 .... ha ... funny .... that's my birthday 12-5. It's weathered elk stag from a dropped antler. Pretty sure that's 440-C high carbon stainless tool steel. There ya go ... found it. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Joe I'll keep looking from time to time. Just can't find it. Sort of recall. If I made the sheath, it's the only one like that I made. That logo started in March of 1987. Started with serial no. 783. So ... I have to look from there thru Serial number 1,307. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Hi Joe, We have triplet grand-daughters in Arizona. Now twin grand-sons here. Multiples are on Kelly's side of the family. Both of these sets were natural multiples. Merry Christmas. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

... to the airgun community. In a previous thread, Dan had asked to see a few of my old oil paintings. So (shy as I am ... ), I posted a few in that thread. Quick snapshots taken in the house, in the evening. I knew they lacked good light, but looked pretty good on my computer. Well, Jerry said he liked the painting of the black bear in the cave best. Hello Keith, Sounds like great fun. Will "fill in the cracks" between all the life lessons. I have a couple of more computers to copy. See what's there. Jim's also pulled down a complete copy of all the web materials. Hey ... you might be a good guy to ask. When I was an Apple shop, I named a bunch of files with names that included symbols that PC's don'[t like. For example ...by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That'll teach ya! Been there. Thanks for posting. Little story which your title reminded me of. Little girl goes to Sunday school. On the way home from Church, her Dad asked her what she'd learned about this morning. Little girl says the teacher had told a story about a bear. Dad says ... "a bear?" Little girl replies, "You know daddy, Happy - the cross eyed Bear". Garyby barnespneumatic - The Target Trophy Lodge
Here's a few quick pics. Need daylight for a better quality lighting. Thanks for asking. There are a bunch of them, these were in a couple of rooms. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Keith, Sounds like you need a POD. Or ... if you have room and a permit ... sounds like an opportunity to develop some construction skills. Good for Adam. The spark is something that you can't turn off. It's one of those "blessed curses" too. Demands satisfaction, endlessly distracts, drives you to exhaustion, but it's something you'd never give up. Keith, You'll obviously have to quit your job and move in here for a couple of years. Thank God we have plenty of room. I've always wanted to write books too. Always thought I'd save that for a rainy decade. Yeah ... we'll save the "How to - step by step" until sometime after I retire. That one would be "How to ... without CNC and $$$" I have always thought it's interesting (by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Hello Don, It's entirely too complex a process to give a thumbnail in this format. You'll need to read every reference material on the process you can find (Google), then adapt to the parts you can find/make. I didn't ruin good parts because I didn't have any scraps handy ... . I ruined them because, the process isn't fool proof. It changes. What worked ten times before, didn't this tby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Keith, I discovered the first of those books about 1974. I read, and re-read every word of them for years. Used to lay in bed and read them til 3am. If you have not yet seen one in person, they are large reference books. Then, in 1980 ... the house I was renting (with my shop in the basement) burned. I lost nearly everything, but I was pleased one of those books survived ... all wrinkledby barnespneumatic - The Picture Gallery
Hello Keith, That's a very generous offer. I'd like that. Thank you. I have photographed everything. Tools, processes, range sessions, targets as well. The organization of the origonal materials is somewhat poor. My organization program became the website. Hi Don, Good luck with it. I made my tanks as I needed long tanks for shrouds, etc. I bought a huge battery charger, like an automotive garage would use. Google ... and you'll find a few sights that will show you their set-ups and give pretty thorough tips. I did ruin too many expensive parts learning. Hate that learning curve. Hi Keith, According to the charts, I should be free about 2050 ... if I make it. Best to use Jerry's shop for the foreseeable future. I apologize. I'm on a pretty strong quest to complete this huge vol. of parts I've been dragging toward the finish line. And, of course, I was nuts to ever make the stag handle rig, but I was young and foolish. And, in the spirit of 90% of those thingby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
SHRPSHOTR Thanks for posting. That's some fine work. Well done. I hope it moves well for you too. The "machining" isn't nearly so stressful as the eternal "setting up", is it?
