Just to add to the info., and not to "one up". Our buddy Kent (who should be here posting for himself ... ), shoots his 87 Chief Justice with 2 - 2 1/2 oz. of shot (I think #8). That would be 875 - 1094 grains. We've thrown clays with a regular ground thrower. I actually don't think I've ever seen him miss! I've been amazed at how far out he picks them off. Now ... I saw myself miss quiby barnespneumatic - Video Library
I attempted ... and successfully copied the Hard Drive from one of my old Apple computers. Yeah!!! I had one which had taken a lightening strike. Burned out the ethernet modem. bummer. So ... I'd had all sorts of stuff locked up in there. I bought a 500 Gig Remote Hard drive. Back the PC stuff - couple of older computers. But ... I just never thought the thing would interface with anby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

The 45 Nebula. Around about 1997. The first 56 caliber Expedition. I won the Mich. big bore shoot with this in 99. Still have the target in my office. Oh yeah ... computers are magic. So long as they like you. ;?) Thousands of pics are in the program of the website writing program. The masters are scattered over five worn out computers from the last 13 years. Nothing's as simple as it should be. And ... right. Sure. Right before those old computers blinked off, I rushed out and bought the 500 gig remote back-up drive I have now ..by barnespneumatic - Gary's Galleries
OK. However; Photoshop asks you for a dpi resolution. I've been stating 72 for the forum. My pics are all over the board thru the years. So, I've been setting it for 72 rez. Then, about 10" wide max. And then, it gives you a sliding scale which is calls "file quality" or some such ... right before the save process is done. Some pics will take a scale of 7-8 on a 12 scale. Jerry, You are correct. But .... it's a pain to run the last 13 years of pictures thru photoshop to rename them. I think Jim said we can train the forum to accept .jpeg. Hope so. Garyby barnespneumatic - Gary's Galleries
Karl, I recall now. I was thinking of the XXV Royale. But ... I bet you were thinking of this far older gun. I just called it the XXV Magnum at the time. I try two ways of showing it here. One with photobucket .... And one trying to grab it from old files .... OK ... I'll have to edit it in ... OK ... they're .jpegs ... but the program here won't accept the suffix ... says they'by barnespneumatic - Gary's Galleries

Hello Sharpshooter ... Welcome. Fine shooting. Yeah ... it is surprising how these things will carry energy to distance! The bell looks very "artsy" that way. Great Post .... Thanks, Garyby barnespneumatic - The Target Trophy Lodge
Yeah Karl, I wonder too. It's in a wormhole somewhere with many others. Actually, that was an acid etched steel shroud. I'll have to get a pic. I forget. Garyby barnespneumatic - Gary's Galleries
This is a test. 100 yard gallon waterjug shot with the Yukon 2 ... 58 caliber. And ... 200 yard shot with Yukon 2 ... 58 caliber. You can see the slug in the air. I was surprised you could see it for so long. That was just 30 frame per second video. But I just grazed the water jug and knocked it down. At that distance though, the 469 grain slugs would penetrate the hard OSB backerby barnespneumatic - Video Library
The videos are great fun. Can't wait to try making some more. Let's see ... I don't have a photobucket acct. Have to go do that. Garyby barnespneumatic - Video Library
Correct ... Palmrest. Also ... since it's a FT gun, it works beautiful to hook over your left arm when in the seated tripod postion. Adds alot of stability. It also threads out ... for other shaped attachments. Garyby barnespneumatic - Gary's Galleries
Thank you Jerry! It was a stressful wait. As with anything that touches the Barnes clan, there were considerable complications. Thank God it all worked out. We only aged a couple more decades. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Ah ... THANKS for bringing up Kelly's rifle Jerry!! "Gee Honey ... but we HAVE heating oil ..... " Gary And, kidding aside .... the Ledger Customers get access to everything I've made. Couple clarifications. May be clear ... but the fps here means "Frames Per Second". Some might wonder why we would talk of shooting 420 feet per second. Second. We don't currently HAVE a bunker. Let's check E-Bay Jerry .... heheh And, yeah ... the 10,000 frames per second video camera is about $79,500 more. But ... we'll get some good stuff ... you bet. Garyby barnespneumatic - Video Library
Well Jerry ... since you insist upon talking about airguns .... I shot that beast with the orig. Tundra 45. It was a bench rifle (as you may recognize) but I carried the thing all day because that was the only rifle of mine I had access to. In the afternoon, we sighted a few boar, on the other side of a grassy bowl of a field, trotting up the grade towards the woods at the top. They wereby barnespneumatic - I'm just sayin'
Hi Guys, Couple of factors come into play. Mainly, because airguns have so many more parts than firearms, and more machinery to operate the parts, weight is a big factor. We therefore use lighter barrels. We don't have the need to contain huge internal barrel pressures, so lighter barrels work well. That said, the airgun barrels are less rigid, and benefit from the front barrel clamp. Oby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Jerry, When you come up next, we'll have to set up one of those sets of panels to shoot, and film the slug trail and debris thru 10 or more panels. Should be neat. We need a nice bunker near the target too. haha. Garyby barnespneumatic - Video Library
