Hi Gary, Been home with a severe flu for four days and been googling and reading airgun related articles. I came across the following article on quality by Tom Gaylord. Included the URL so someone can read the entire article. It might not be the best example of what you are saying but I think it can explain why one off and quality are desired. It is something that cannot be reproduced with maby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Glad to see you back at it! Everyone of us enjoys seeing your artistic creations! Wish you the best of health so you can do what you love. "If you love what you are doing, you will never work a day in your life!" God Bless... Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Rotorhead, I cannot imagine the temperatures up there! I am just 1/2hr from the North Dakota border, so not nearly that far north! Even here we have to plug in our vehicles and it sure is hard on mechanical parts. Many cars were not starting this week as people learn to winterize their automobiles or plug them in! At least your truck worked well, hate to be stranded anywhere in those temps.by pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary, Why do we need to change? Canada, along with the rest of the world changed to metric in the 60's, 70's, the USA is just lagging behind, lol (from Wikipedia) According to an article Fahrenheit wrote in 1756, he based his scale on three reference points of temperature. In his initial scale (which is not the final Fahrenheit scale), the zero point is determined by placing the thermoby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I was perusing Pinterest the other day and found this pic. Not a bad idea, refurbishing an old fridge to be used as a safe and storage. Just add a locking mechanism I suppose to make it legally secure (at least in Canada). Hope everyone is staying warm up north. We have had our first real "deep freeze" in Manitoba this winter. Windchill has been -41 C almost all week. The cold really testsby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Wow, great pics! These new cameras with the stabilizing feature are amazing. Thanks for sharing Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That is a nice buck! Wild dogs, that would scare me. I have never taken an interest in bows, my dad had a compound bow. I could never draw back the bow string as I have been a 100 pound wimp into my late teens. Awhile ago I caught a magazine at work. It was a promo by Haas and they showcased a company that made bows. I was intrigued as they had started out in automotive parts and almost wentby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, That is really impressive. Lots of hours went in but it will be enjoyed for years! Nice shooting bench, are those boat chairs? Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
It is amazing all the projects you are working on! Like someone mentioned in another thread, wondering how you have the energy to do this all? Guess when its something you hopefully enjoy, takes some of the "work" out of it? Best of health, waiting to see it all come together ! Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
It seems then that books and TV are the same. Story lines are almost always similar and you pretty much know the outcome of what will happen towards the end. One cop show seems to have the same plot as another did a week earlier with a slight twist... I personally have only read a few books in my life. I dislike works of fiction for the most part, I never saw the point. Movies were better for me,by pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
We sure have it good in USA & Canada. We stayed with my wife's family. She has two sisters and a brother still living in Bolivia. Old world mennonites, horse & buggy, no electricity. This was our "resort" at her brothers. Our main transportation when with relatives, other than tractor and wagon. Her brother hitching the horse. Next picture is 4 hours away by tractor and wagon atby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi All, I had read this discussion the other day. Remembered taking some pictures in South America. A few burrowing Owls but most times when I saw them the owls were perched on 3 to 4 foot high ant hills. Threw in a monkey in my nieces arms and some type of crane. Almost missed it, but it was large. Wild ostrich were around to, but they kept their distance. Never closer than 1/4 or so.by pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Makes one want to stop watching TV altogether? I watched Jungle Gold a few times. What a bunch of morons. They made millions in real estate in the USA, then lost it all when market crash. Now they go to Africa, spend another $250,000 of other peoples money, adding to their 1/2 million $$ personal debt. Guess they didn't save for a rainy day, and from what I have seen, they lived an extraby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

I surprised myself the first time as I hadn't chronied the setup. Thought ball would penetrate the 2x4 by perhaps 3/4", not almost through!by pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Big bore is a lot of fun. I can see why so many are wanting to get into it. I used CAD/CAM as I can "see" things better in 3D modeling. I can work from an image in my head but not as well. My hat is off to those that can build entire projects/machinery from images in their head. My dad is like that. No formal training and yet can design and build a rollforming line from "blueprints" in his miby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello All, Hope everyone had a good Christmas! Awhile I ago I had been wanting to draw the Airforce Condor in CAD and was finally able to this winter. When completed, not perfect but close, I realized that the self made barrels I had buttoned four years prior would almost "bolt" right in. With a few minor mods and machining it worked! No machining to the Condor, it is still stock. Haby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Rotorhead, Thanks for the post. I to agree that this is one of the few forums that has remained "family friendly" with a positive atmosphere. Joined another forum awhile ago but never posted, to much profanity and explicit pics as avatars. Even the moderators are in on it. An update... As mentioned in a reply to Gary, it is stress and not depression. Starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, regardless of not knowing what will happen with work, or personal life. I had a call last week about a job offer from a recruiter. I brushed her off as my sights were on Alberta. I happened to view the job posting on the recruiters website a week later out ofby pedrog - I'm just sayin'

Hi Gary, Thanks for your detailed reply. Job is an interesting book to read. Like you said, Godly man, and why? Lost everything, wealth, family, friends, and health. Even his wife wanted him to "curse God and die". Job 2:9 Then his wife said to him, "Do you still hold fast your integrity? Curse God and die." Yeah, so my stress is little when weighed in the balance of what others are goinby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
Gary, Thanks! Prayers are always appreciated. Life is an occupation alright! Good thing we can leave things in the hands of God that cares for us, and knows whats best. Caught this on Pinterest last night.... "Sometimes God doesn't change your situation because He's trying to change your heart" Hanging in there. Lots of stress again today! Thanks again, Pedroby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
Hello All, Just thought I would share a little about whats been going on. My current job is a huge stress in my life. Been looking at changes and had one offer, but it requires moving to another province. It would be great, but not ready for it. Wife really wanted to move as her job has come to an end due to politics with staff and the stress it caused. We took a drive out to Alberta to visit aby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
Really neat seeing everything coming together! You have had a very busy year! Be awesome to have your own range in the backyard. Looking forward to seeing chips fly once again . Best regards, Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary, Glad to hear that Isaac didn't do any damage to your area. Looking forward to seeing your new setup once you have things sorted out. Thankfully with all the driving, lifting, etc you did, it doesn't sound as if anyone was injured. Wishing you continued health & blessing. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
