Hi Gary, Speaking of contentment. Wife got into Pinterest. Lots of artsy, decorative, girly stuff. You can get it as an app on your iphone. Basically like google images. Anyway, some nice pics on it and found this posted. Been thinking of it a lot last few days. Most of us make more money in 1 day working than the average person in India working a whole month ($75 USD monthly). Granteby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Added more details following your message. Fillets were huge and thick on the Northern Pike. I had wanted to put it back in the water but the fish wouldn't revive. Locals said that the big fish rarely come to if out of the water for a bit, had only been about 5 minutes, most are good for 20 min. The three fish we caught that morning have provided a lot of fillets so will be BBQ and frying forby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
The basic design is based on Mr. Buckley's reservoir design in his last book. What I did was took his design and modified a lot of it to incorporate the look of a Crosman CP Sport pistol. Combining the two and working through a few concepts until I myself was pleased with the design. Barrell is .22 Caliber, German made, from Mac1 Airguns. Hello, I finished my airguns as far as I will for summer. Time to relax and shoot. Went to my brother-in- law's this past Saturday and let my nephews shoot the homemade and my Airforce. They enjoyed it a lot. After 2 years of not having gone fishing I finally went to my parents trailer at the lake. They have had it for 5 years and thought it was about time to see it. Took my wife, sby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well it sounds like we adults are the example to kids?? I have seen it in my nephews, one who was limited with tv, games etc. He plays alone all day long using his imagination with toy cars, legos etc. The other nephew complains that there is nothing to do as soon as tv, video games aren't available.by pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I haven't seen or heard of that show, sounds like lots of other reality type shows. They focus more on the drama than what the show was about in the first place, ie American Chopper. Was currently enjoying Duck Dynasty. Funny bunch of self proclaimed rednecks, although, millionaires. I like the show as seems to be clean, hardly any swearing and I just find it so funny Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Haha, yeah you look ready for the beach, where the drink with an umbrella?? Kids are amazing. The iphones are so easy they can use it better than some parents. Funny how we get used to technology such as the iphone. Information so readily available at our finger tips. Wife and I were in southeast side if Saskatchewan for 110th annual Bible conference. Gary, I hardly think I pose a threat to your airgun building or ever will! Haha I am still a few years away from being able to build everything myself, let alone develop the skill set and experience you have. USA is the right market for airguns though, I read somewhere that 3 million are bought every year.! Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well I found out this morning that we Canadians no longer need to register firearms that are non-restricted. This would also mean that big bore and all commercial pellet guns are no longer required to be registered and we can build any caliber & power we want! I had checked a few months back but the defeated law and new bill hadn't been passed into law, but now it has. http://www.rcmp-grc.by pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary, It is great that things are moving along great for you and Kelly. I think all of us continue to wish you well and look forward to seeing your new setup! Hopefully this move will help a lot with your health and you can focus on what you do best! May God continue to grant traveling mercies as you move your possesions to your new home Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Gary, Wishing Kelly and yourself all the best as you make changes & move. Sounds like a great place to live. Hope your pain is relieved and you can enjoy getting back to what you do best! God's richest blessing to you both, Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I didn't catch the show, but can only imagine. Seen "Sons of Guns" a few times. Seems to be more & more drama and less about working on guns. The work they do machining, prep work seems amatuer the way its presented and performed. Like Gary said, the customer is so happy with the "craftmanship" of the guns. I stopped watching the show, I am tired of "bleep, gun and oh "f_bleep", BLEEP,BLEEP, BLEEby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, I know it isn't fair to ask. For us that have never done anything like it, to have an idea what it actually takes to do the engraving makes us appreciate it that much more? If that makes sense? Thanks for sharing, nice to be able to see the artistic qualities that you bring to your work. Have a great week! Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello all, I thought this was kind of funny, an email that went around work. Pretty much sums up what Canada has become. RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) have had a hard time lately and on the news a lot. If they shoot or taser someone, seems there is always someone sueing or reporting police brutality. One elderly man (in BC) died after suffering a heart attack from a taser. Meanwhile heby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
Gary, Very impressive as always. What kind of hours are put into one side? Must be a considerable amount of time? Thanks for sharing with us. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Looking forward to seeing your target groups! I am sure it will be an enjoyable time getting out. Do you shoot on a friends field or just drive out to where no is around? I asked a farmer last year if I could shoot on his property, miles from any homes, farms, and he politely said no. But now I have my brother in laws place which is in the country Cedric had a neat target on his 308 viby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary, Interesting story. To bad the young Henry didn't make a name for himself rather than try to use someone elses. Sounded like he had the skills to do so. I quess that rules out volunteering to come and sweep at your shop to? haha. Thanks for the story.... Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Your right about showing to much online. I have learned to be more cautious about details I post. My hats off to you making everything from scratch. Only years of practical experience allow for making a cherry and mold to desired specs without making scrap. I started experimenting with big bore barrels a few years ago. I realize now that I made many mistakes with the first barrels I trby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

I must need new glasses. I thought the cherry cutters looked odd, didn't realize a shop cloth was over the actual cutting contour until I took another look at the pic this morning. Must be the stress of being at work and not able to work on and shoot airguns.... Gary, looking forward to seeing the rifle and target groups.by pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary, Glad to see you back at it. Wish you all the best of health. Always interesting to see you making your awesome rifles, molds, and the craftsmanship that you put into your work God bless, Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Hello, Thanks for the response. Saturday I went over to my dad's shop and made some new valves as the first ones didn't want to seat well enough to seal all the time. After that completed, I started to sand the aluminum and then buffed it. Got it fairly shiny, but need to do more sanding as I didn't get out all the milling cutter marks. Hello Everyone, Here are a few pictures from the trip to Bolivia. Sorry that it took so long. It is hard to select the best pictures when you take so many. Will investigate a better photoshare site. Picked a few photos from a few destinations. Some farms are my brother-in-laws, the mountains are mostly near Samaipata, Bolivia. This is an ancient site, 1500 BC. Hello Everyone, Thanks for all your well wishes. My wife and I made it back Dec 29th after 3 connecting flights over 24 hours, and hardly any sleep. On the way to Bolivia it was 4 connecting flights, almost 36 hours, with waiting and again, rarely sleeping. Lots of customs checks, mostly USA. Hello, Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Gary you are right, they live a lot like people did in the 1940's. No electricity, no in house plumbing, and old farm equipment. My parents grew up the same way in the 50, 60's in Mexico. Mexican mennonites started to change in the late 80's, finally taking modern convenience. The strict religious people moved further away and started over. I stiby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
Hello Everyone, It is 3 weeks until my wife and I travel to Bolivia, South America. I wanted to take the time to wish everyone Happy Holidays before I forget to as it is getting very busy packing and planning the trip. Hi Gary, Sounds like you had an ordeal with that new phone. I purchased an iphone 4 for my wife whose old cell phone was going on 11 years of age. She loves the new phone. She hated texting before but loves it now. The built in camera isn't bad, 5 mega pixel. For the most part it is a good phone, even my dad got one and he isn't very computer literate. Hello Gary, It has been a few weeks since I have checked out the forum. Nice looking home page. I really appreciate your view the business of life, i.e., (http://www.glbarnes.com/why.html). As I near my forties, I am finding that "quiet time" is rare. Way to much on the go. As I type, it is a long weekend, and I am working on drawings for a client's business.
