Hello Gary, Glad you have a good doctor. It is worth a lot to have a professional to take the time to explain why things are the way they are. Continue to wish you good health. I had chipped tooth a about two months back. It was fixed and had some work done to put a crown on it 3 weeks back. During this time is has hurt a lot. After complaining to dentist they did an x-ray. Gary, I am sure am not alone in saying that we all wish you didn't have all these aches and pains. Hope your docs can get you squared away with the right meds. Being dizzy around machinery is risky. I suffered from severe migraines a few years back and was on some really powerful meds. Sometimes the meds are worse then the symptoms? Thankfully since I moved back to where I grew up my headaby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Gary, As always very nice! By oiling do you mean lin seed oil? I have a video I bought from Colonial Williamsburg - Gunsmith (1969) The gunsmith builds an American rifle 1800's, with only tools available in the 1800's!! He uses lin seed oil to finish the stock and curious if that is what you are refering to. By the way, I sent you snapshots of that video long ago, did you ever receiby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Caught a program on TLC about NASA preparing for a Mars trip. Trying to create food that will last 5 years. Gary, Thanks for posting this. Didn't catch it till now! I have done some study, research on the birth, and it doesn't fit our current calendar. Scholars think the birth may have happened in September or October and these men did travel for about 2 years. But religion has bundled it nicely to a certian day, event. It was miraculous non the less, and fullfilled a lot of prophecy. Herod did kby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
Well let us hope that things will change, but we know that in the last times, men shall grow worse. There are fewer and fewer people with the faith or values that their grandparents and parents had, let alone our forefathers. Tolerance is demanded everywhere and anyone who stands for "truth" is ridiculed. I was going to say a lot more, but feel it isn't the place to. God Bless and encouraby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
I was looking at the video and was waiting for him to shoot the rifle and not his mouth, lol. Went to Crosman website and love the way marketing works. "Technology is new, exclusive" and yet Daystate has had the "evalve" electronic solenoid valve out for awhile with on board computer, etc. Think the solenoid idea was developed by an individual in the UK from a little research I did a about a yby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello, This is way off topic but thought some of you may enjoy the lyrics and challenge all men to be the men God wants them to be. I have to admit as a husband I fall short many times... I guess that is why the song spoke to me and thought I would share it. Might not be your taste in music, but listen the the "prayer" in the lyrics. http://www.sanctusreal.com/ Video called "Lead Mby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
Roofing lead (sheet lead) - found a few places online in Canada that sell it in bricks or sheets. Apparently very soft. Going to try a local scrap dealer first. Guess I can make lots of fishing weights with the wheel weights or mix the the pure and wheel lead to get a medium hard lead casting. I haven't done much with any of my airguns since December. Might be a dumb question... I bought lots of wheel weights long ago, are they to hard for casting for big bore rifles? Apparently tin can be added to soften? What is the best source for lead for casting decent projectiles? I do collect all my pellets and round balls in a homemade pellet trap. Modeled after the website below (snailtraps). The trap slows down the projectile in a circularby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
H. M. Buckley found this out. He released a few books and didn't take long before someone made the airgun books into a digital copy Now his book is on the internet without any compensation to him. You would make a more interesting show then Paul Sr.! Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

3D printing is really cool tool but expensive. I have had a few things made using the 3D printer for someone who was developing a bicycle seat. It is amazing how well and accurate you can design and make something. Thanks for sharing the video. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Wishing everyone a prosperous, safe New Year! I haven't been online a lot last few days and had a nice break from work! Back at it soon, Boss called today, management all has the flu so start Tuesday, another day off tomorrow!! All the best, Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Danny. I am at the point where I think starting from scratch is the best way. Make my own mold and go from there. I thought I would have lots of time to get things done with 2 weeks off. Time goes by so fast. Spent day with wife yesterday, she works next few days. I did a little shooting to test the used Condor I bought, lots of fun!! I went to Winnipeg today and was very disappointed that nothing I was looking for was in stock. No one had .495 balls in stock or the Maxi-ball mold. While spending a few minutes at each store I decided to simply try making my mold once I have the barrels made. I can do a lead plug and design the slugs around the sizes. As I mentioned in another post I wanted to buy a Condor. Well after waiting three years I stumbled upon a posting on the Canadian forum with this Condor for sale. I got the rifle today and cannot wait to try it. It came with a scope, extra tank, .177 & .22 cal barrels, refill clamp, bipod and a hand pump. I priced it out all the components at about $1500 new and paid $900.by pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Thanks for covering this topic. I have been thinking awhile about saving up and buying a 3 in 1 Smithy. I watched the videos online and it looks like a great machine. But, to have a mill and lathe separate is easier? Less setups as the machines were designed for different machining functions. Table travels seem shorter in the 3 in 1 then conventional. Perhaps someone who owns a 3 in 1 caby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Danny, Thanks for your post. I was surfing a local Wholesale Sports website and came across this: I may pickup a mold like this to try to make the barrel to shoot the Maxi Balls. Neil has some really good groups with his Maxiballs. .50 cal with .004 groove(per side) would be .492. This is convenient as I have been able to reduce my stainless pipe from .499 to .492, and to cold foby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Jerry, Thanks for the info. I will see what calibers I find at some outfitters next week when I head to the city. If I go .501 and .510 it is much easier to work with and find DOM tubing. Been reviewing where I left off over a year ago with rifling setup for a 50 CAL. Custom ammo maybe the way to go for this. Trail and error! Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Jerry, Might want to do the whites yourself and if you do go that route you will be doing whites yourself! lol I showed my wife the video, she got a kick out of it. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Hope things improve for you with the pain you have to endure. It cannot be easy. I found the video on youtube that are you refering to. Gary, Thanks for your insight. I realize there are so many calibers out there. I am heading to the city next week to refill my scuba tank and will be stopping at a few outfitters. Will see what caliber of balls are available locally and start with that. .0025" is shallow but I was told that is what the Dragonslayer has?? Hello, Need some input regarding land and groove size. I am hoping to continue working on some 50 cal barrels in the two weeks I have off work. I have been told that a land of .490 and groove of .495" is best for round balls and all around for 50 size caliber. Any thoughts to add to this from some of you who shoot commercial ammo? Hello Lon, A lot of people want to build their own rifles. Best way I learned was to buy a Crosman multi-pump rifle and take the rifle apart. Also I hunted down a copy of Buckley's Modern Pneumatic Airgun book. Cost a few bucks at the time, but learned a lot. The Modern Pneumatic book was used for my first build. The Modern Pneumatic build was fun, time consuming and a hugeby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
