Apparently Kubota has quite a following. Steelers' D-lineman Brett Keisel just drove his 20 miles on the highway to the start of training camp: New toys are always great, aren't they? Especially when they actually let you do work etc. I always say that the best part of my job is that I get to play with all of the cool new tech toys. -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Even without much setup effort, I found I was able to fairly easily stack Shrikes at 50 yards. Wait til I get a better set of bench bags and get organized . . . -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
So, with the departure of Gary from MD, I am no longer able to shoot with him up at the farm range in New Windsor. Fortunately, a few years back, I figured this scenario would occur some day, so when the opportunity presented itself, I joined a local gun club with a rifle range. Last night was the first evening I actually used its facilities (yes -- I joined in 2010 -- lame). I took my buddy Tby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
You will be sure to share pics of the empty MD shop, right? It'll be a true Twilight Zone-type experience. BTW, gonna try to get out to the range with the Delta 45 tonight . . . -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Rough part of the country . . . that stretch of the I-95 corridor has always been bad. That's where Michael Jordan's dad was murdered about 20 years ago when he pulled off to take a nap. If you can deal with the extra mileage, I-81 / I-77 is a much nicer drive. -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I could make a bunch of snarky comments about how the stimulus money could have been used to actually, you know, fix infrastructure instead of being stolen by our governor to balance his budget and increase spending, but I'll resist the temptation. Unless you're a gov't employee or a poor minority, MD sucks. If you're a small business owner, it's hell. Gary has the right idea . . . I see aby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

I can't imagine there'd be questions about the 1/2 million BTU forge with the copper mask faceplate. Surely every Florida homestead has one! -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Big bores with cranks . . . definitely the way to go. -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary: You should have one of these built into The Studio down in FL: Bet you could redefine "huge bore" yet again. -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Man, that's awesome. Kudos Gary. -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I bid on the outside lock (online through AuctionZip.com), and in the bid history for the lot, I am shown as the high bidder (I actually have the two highest bids in the bid history). However, the "winning bid" is a lower bid amount from someone actually present (on the "floor"). I emailed the auction company to ask how that was even was possible, and never received an answer. OK . . . I've been away from the site for months . . . and I log on this afternoon, and see this. What are the odds? I love it! I should stop by less often. Brutal . . . I'm all the more impressed that you guys made it to the range with the doom and gloom predicted around here. And what kind of snowman bleeds red? That's just bizarre, though it is Halloween . . . -- Jimby admin - Video Library
Yes, I see the "Barnes Luck" is at work -- the forecast says a small pocket of the most intense weather is supposed to be centered over western Carroll County (no joke). I don't know how you do it. Stay warm guys! -- Jimby admin - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

It was good to get out and shoot. The weather was absolutely beautiful on Tuesday, so I made the drive up to New Windsor. We ate lunch and got out to the range around 1 in the afternoon. OK, so I was finally able to dump my ancient Palm Pre phone when they finally made the iPhone available on Sprint. I found it waiting for me here last night, after getting back from New Windsor. Its big "new feature" is Siri, the voice recognition "personal assistant." You simply push the button and tell it what you want it to do, or ask it a question. So, how is this airgun-related? Just posting a quick pic now . . . I need to offload / edit pics and make a write-up (tomorrow). Excellent afternoon of shooting with Gary in New Windsor . . . weather was perfect.
