Nice to hear you are over the dreaded lurgy Gary, you must have caught mine It is exciting watching your progress. Getting things in cabinets will be amazing, but then you'll just get them back out again to use them...more bench space needed?? Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I think it's to make sure he can be sure Kelly is cooking dinner on time....by neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Good to see things are taking shape Gary Having a helper is a great idea for an old bloke....must get me one Regards Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Yum. That looks real nice!! Sean, looking forward to your testing. Regards Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Cheers guys I have hair problems too. For some unknown reason my forehead seems to be growing and pushing my hair towards the back of my head, where it seems to be falling out all by itself. Perhaps Dr Phil can explain to me what is going on hair. I suspect it is a communist plot, but that is only hairsay. But about the Falcon, one thing I continue to be amazed about is the consistency of thisby neilmcp - The Hunting Camp
It's been way too long since I did some shooting. Tonight a hare was taunting me across the valley, sitting there staring at me whilke I cooked tea. There was a llittle more wind than I would have liked, but I had been taunted long enough, so out came the Falcon .22. I lasered the hare at 112 yards, dialed it in on the scope knob, and a quiet "pop" later it rolled over a couple of times and thatby neilmcp - The Hunting Camp
...I actually got an airgun out and shot at something! See the Hunting Camp. Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I should have been there Gary, but I've had the flu despite having had a flu shot. Didn't even have the energy to turn the computer on. But, I've beaten it, Time to catch up on all those jobs I didn't do. Hope the big shift is continuing smoothly Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
It's amazing how tastefully the container thing can be done. And the portability is a huge bonus. In one part of the mall they have stared to rebuild so they just shifted the shops (containers) across to the other side of the mall and it was business as usual. Similar developments are popping up around the place and will probably remain for several years. Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Phewwwww!! Gary, looks like I arrived just in the nick of time to prevent that big white parrot from consuming you completely Tempt it with some sunflower seeds and when it's not looking, quickly dash away For the lack of anything else to contribute, here's how you use shipping containers to construct a temporary shopping mall while the rest of the city (background) is being demolished due to eby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, three workshops and a pool? And a new house and a whole bunch of new toys? Sounds like paradise (with a lot of hard work attached.....) As to answering your question, sadly no, just about to head to work where an interesting case I was looking forward to has just been postponed so I'll have to look for something else to do Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Sheesh, 11,000 miles! I wish you luck for sure! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Sheesh, Gary, Jerry, Kent, I am exhausted just thinking about all that heavy machinery and all those miles. Well done (and still doing) guys! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary Pleased to hear you are hanging in there! It is a huge project but you are the man to manage it for sure. I (well, me and my colleagues) have a major project going on involving the demolition of our earthquake-damaged building, but we have hired a project management company to help us through the maize of problems while we keep our business running. You have to do both roles Cheers Neby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary I haven't visited here for way too long, there's been a lot happening and no shooting! Pleased to hear the shift is progressing, a massive task but the end result looks likely to be fantastic. Everything you need in one place, range and all. And heaps of space, though I am sure you will manage to fill it and then some in no time at all. All the best for the rest of the shift. Reby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, great news and great looking place! A big decision to make but definitely the right one. All the best with the move. Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary Sounds like you are having a time of it! Hope you get it all sorted soon. Been a bit preoccupied myself....replacement log burner being installed, driveway being sealed (neither by my hand so tradespeople everywhere) Dad turned 94 (still going strong), arranging a trip to Melbourne Australia for experimental treatment for Julie, hassles with the demolition of our building, and the listby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Kent said what I wanted to say!! Overflowing the borders like that really adds to the effect. Very nice Gary! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Looking forward to seeing your work Pedro! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Jerry, I will check them out and probably faint when I see the price Regards Neilby neilmcp - The Gear Shack
Ahh, Gary, you are still around. I was worried that you had moved to Florida and had a new occupation as a lifesaver Waiting with bated breath for some more airgun goodies from you Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Jerry, if only!! I have come to the conclusion that the biggest single factor affecting my smallbore groups is the wind. My home range is a both a blessing and a curse. It is great to be able to walk out onto the deck and shoot 100 yards +, but the valley winds are almost exclusively ever-present, and even the most gentle zephyr plays havoc with accuracy and precision. Not quite so much of a prby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Danny 44 fpe with the JSB Exact Kings. Sorry I can't profess to having a steady hand, that group was off the bench! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Jerry Very comprehensive and interesting post! Can you tell me where you got the Barret rings from? I recently purchased some Sportsmatch adjustable rings but they don't have enough adjustment for long range with the Lonestar. Cheers Neilby neilmcp - The Gear Shack
Just plain old pasture grass Jerry...we have had a wet summer/autumn so it is quite lush. By the way, I sent some Surefire Barnes Raptors down range yesterday, getting my Sam Yang 909s up and running. Same-holed 2 at 81 yards while testing, and love the way they whistle! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - The Hunting Camp
It's been war on the maggies at my place, though they are getting more wary. This morning I heard one calling and eventually saw a glimpse of it in the trees up the valley. So I pulled out the Falcon .22 (it was early morning so I had to be quiet, and the Falcon is mousefart quiet) and my rangefinder and sneaked to the corner of my deck. This was the position, rested on the pool fence Maggie wby neilmcp - The Hunting Camp
Hehe, Gary,I'm one of the 2%!! Nice work Jerry! Now in true Sons of Guns fashion, will you be building a fully automatic hairspray can-thrower inendiary device based on an AK47 (to sell to the local hairdresser....) Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Video Library
Hi Gary, no I didn't use that rest, it only gets used for maintenance purposes (or photoshoots!). Below is my usual bench rest set up, though for the 125 yard hare I used a bipod.... Hi Jerry Thanks! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
It looked like this I bought this BSA Lonestar in .25 cal mid-January because it was too good a deal to pass up...brand new but it had been sitting on the shelf for quite a while so the price was good. It took me a while to get it set up but last evening I put it through its paces at 100 yards in light winds. I was pretty happy with the result. I think this gun will be taking care of aby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
