Hi Jerry You will need to get those kids onto some more casting! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary Thanks for your kind words. You have had some major projects on the go, among other things, so I'm not surprised you haven't been so prolific on the Forum just lately. Hope you are getting things under control! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - The Hunting Camp
Scott, I feel your pain!! Luckily it sounds like Gary can mend it as good as new Regards Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Tofaz, nice work as usual! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Jerry. The local hawks have done pretty well out of me over the years. I counted 6 in the air at the same time one day a little while back. Recently one did several close fly-bys checking out whether our pug puppy was fair game! Luckily the big white boxer was nearby and saved the day... Cheers Neilby neilmcp - The Hunting Camp
I had Friday off to catch up on a few projects around the house (sound familiar Gary?). It was overcast (as usual) and pretty calm. I was about to get underway with cleaning out the spouting around 8.00 am and happened to look across the valley where I saw 3 hares playing. So I went and got the Falcon .22 and my rangefinder and settled down in my favourite sniping spot. I lasered one of the hby neilmcp - The Hunting Camp
Well Gary, it is obvious that you missed your calling....all these years of making guns, but what you really wanted to be was a Maintenance Man!! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gee Gary, at least something is going right if the injections are working! Hope you can tackle those other issues bit by bit. Insurance is a big issue over here, as you can imagine. It's hard to believe that yesterday it was exactly a year since our city fell over. Our house has been repaired/painted, but our office building, though condemned, remains standing. They were about to strip it out andby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Good luck with those shots and your insurance quest Gary, hope it all turns out fine.... All the best Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Nice work Tofaz! Hoping I can get in the movie too, as the international wing of the Barnes Appreciation Society of Old Crocs.... Regards Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Someone's gonna be getting very excited watching this baby gestate, I know I am! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well Gary, if they don't shoot them at least they can admire the fine detail that goes into engraving those welds! It always impresses me Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, those print nice neat holes alright. Sayisfying for both the gun-maker and the caster! Sean, snow piled up to 2 stories?! I will never complain about our occasional snowfall again! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Sean's right, someone is going to be very happy with this pc. This post will help them understand just how much work is involved and how many variables there are to contend with. Cheers Neil Doh, just realised it is Sean's gun..........guess he has a bit of an idea of what's involved!by neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Yep, that's very niiice!! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well, Gary, it seems only fair that you make yourself a gun that shoots so amazingly well (not to take anything away from the nut behind the butt of course). You are going to have some fun with that gun for sure.... And you game-calling skills...calling in that unfortunate log of wood....superb! Regards Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
200 yards, no scope......what next?! Nice work Jerry! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That's a very nice group Gary And what might have been with the 150 yarder.....maybe next time! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Really nailed that fox at distance Gary, nice shooting! Do you think that puff when hitting the fox is all lead dust, or could it be condensation caused by the exploding lead, like the contrail? Cheers Neil PS Great camera shooting too!by neilmcp - Video Library
Welcome back Pedro. Those flights must have been tough! I guess visiting the mennonites was a little like stepping back in time. Looking forward to seeing some more pics. Cheers Neilby neilmcp - I'm just sayin'
Hi Jerry Thanks, we hope that is the case too! It seems that the eastern end of the main fault is letting off some pressure. The good news according to the seismologists, is that this means the quakes are moving away from the city, out to sea, but due to their magnitude there is little tsunami risk. Let's hope so! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - I'm just sayin'
Great photography! Must have been quite a stiff cross-wind to blow the contrail around that much. Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Video Library
Looks like you guys had a great day! And I think you pretty much killed that fox Gary, that 106 yard group from your Orion looks tiny...what did it measure? Happy New Year Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary Getting close to doing some shooting...got the guns out and gave them a good clean. But the fantastic hot weather we had over Xmas has just turned a little sour. I will be ready when it comes right. I have been mulling over your post on shooting down (or up) hill and that is something I need to be more aware of when I'm sighting in my guns, as lately I have been shooting targets furtherby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Ship's OK Gary, just being re-fitted with a massive workshop, but,,,,,some guy called Santa has just requisitioned it, him and a bunch of elves, Apparently they don't need it for long though.... Joe, it wasn't me, honest! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - I'm just sayin'
Best wishes Gary and all Merry Christmas Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Kelly, and all the best for the New Year! Regards Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Jerry, but I'm still learning, and Gary's post about shooting down (or up) hill has got me thinking about some of my practising with big bores, which has been quite angled shooting. I will need to think that through some more. Cheers Neilby neilmcp - The Hunting Camp
All good thanks Sean, we are all just sooo over this stuff! I just posted a link to some pics on "I'm just sayin' " The second big one has just been upgraded to a 6.0. I had a quick swim in the pool just before it hit, and got out in time to see the house flex like crazy, and some pretty interesting waves on the pool. No damage to speak of, thankfully. I think we might need to revise yours and Gby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Just had a "swarm" of earthquakes, one of them was the 4th biggest since it all started back in September 2010.. Well, we had hoped it was over but these things just can't be predicted. We will have a Happy Shakey Christmas by the looks of things!!! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - I'm just sayin'
