Hello Kent, Thanks for a wonderful post. Looks like a great day. Emily makes the perfect spokesperson for the product. I've asked marketing to place a generous contract in the mail! I'm glad to be included in something that made a great memory for you. Excellent pics!! Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Kent, I have been real satisfied with this latest pocket camera. Nikon S8000. It's on the edge of being "pocket" slim .... but works for me. Has some great features and pic quality. That windrow of leaves was about thigh deep ... quite a bunch of them. And, I've gathered a lot more since then. These trees have no mercy on an old guy ... hahah. Hey Neil ... You're the champ! Me? I've got to take two weeks ... get into full sniper mode ... use decoys, camo net, double blinds .... you just stroll out with a cuppa coffee ... ... hahhah. Good for you! Those pesky critters learned a lesson 'bout messin' with .... NEIL. Garyby barnespneumatic - The Hunting Camp
Thanks Julio, hahaha. That's vinyl siding and windows ... so ... painting isn't so bad. However; I'm afraid I'm going to be around when the rest of the roof needs to be replaced. 116 years ... nothing lasts anymore!!! hahahah. Gary I've been working on it for almost 31 years. There seems to be no danger of running out of things to do. I've worked on the furnace twice this past weby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
This is the stuff that happens when you always have a digital camera in your pocket. ;?) On our trip to Mississippi, for the shoot, we ran across a place called "Hillbilly Willy's". A Bar-B-Que place. They had "Willy" painted on the concrete floor as you walked in. I woke up the place by taking a pic! In a parking lot, Kelly spotted this character in his Hummer ... hahahhby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Continued work on the top end of this Ranger Delta 32 Magnum The bolt is being fitted to the barrel and receiver. The bolt retention system is being added, and the bolt will be heat treated. All takes more time then it looks. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

HI Sean, Yes - I agree. You should see Jerry's shooting outfit too .... ..... hahahah. But - Jerry has a Night Force Scope in a box somewhere waiting for it's debut as well. We'll see about that. I had a nice scope like Doc from Back to the Future had on his gun ... but .... ;?) Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Spent the day working on stuff for this rifle. Sean has been waiting for a long time. He posts here as "Rotor". He spent a lot of time doing rescue work in Alaska in Helos. Sean's 62 Woodsman is to incorporate as much non-ferrous metal as is practical for the cost. We've discussed this at length. It will need to be in a rifle sleeve when on the snowmobile ... but will take severe weatherby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Lon, Right ... good thing there wasn't a "pc. of wood" in the picture! Nobody would have seen any of the machine work at all ... That's OK ... at least I did the engraving in the above explained manner. haha. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Sean, We agree. I recall an incident that took place while planning Standing Stone 4. The partners that year, from the gun club, made some targets for the "airguns" that were coming in. I told them that some of them would be pretty stout. "Not to worry - they'd tested them with a powerful firearm pistol". When I got there, they showed me a target. Hi Sean, That's done with my 19th century laser cutter! hahah. I have a Model A Gorton 2-D pantograph mill - 1895 vintage. I make a master pattern that's oversized, and the pantograph is able to reduce it according to how the geometry is set up. It's manually operated so far as feed. I altered it to run off of a small high torque electric motor and made a following arm assembly so the mby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Doug asked to see some off the pics, since I told him I was working on his Ranger Delta 32 once again. Hoping to complete this rifle, and several others before year's end. The 32 Magnum PCP rifle is being made for his Son, who is active duty military, and has served several tours to the mid-East. It's an honor to make the rifle for him. It will carry the silver plate which I mentioned earliby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Allen, Your rifle looks nice. Sounds like it's working well. Have you found any down side to your helium experiments yet? I've found it interesting. Still have not tried it as I have not had time to research if it might infiltrate O rings and destroy them. Bummer to have to tear down a gun to replace all the seals. I know you've said you've sealed yours with thread locker. Dby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Joebill, Have you blasted anything with your 62 in awhile? The slug Jerry is shooting is very similar to yours. Of course, this Yukon is rifled ... but he's gotten excellent longer range accuracy with is 62 smoothy (Out to 90 yards or so). Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
.573" C/C ..... excellent shooting for NO MAGNIFICATION while being pounded with 700+ fpe!!! Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I'll measure that afterwhile. Looks very tight. Super - especially when considering that was WITHOUT magnification for sighting! Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Took my life into my hands! There are a million Starlings in the bamboo at night. Walk near the War Wagon, and the bamboo flutters like some wild thing. It's actually creepy Hitchcock would be pleased! Some fly out ... odd too .... some slam into the house - fly around crazy like bats. Probably 'cause they were roosting and startled. The war wagon is pitch dark ... but here's a flasby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Did I take a pic? I don't recall seeing one. I think you stapled it in the War Wagon. I can go take a pic. Sure ... I'm just sitting here with nothing to do ... hahah Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Lon, I'll look for it .... Nobody's asked about it in years .... That's if I survive this current chest cold/plague. I'm like a Parrakeet ... I catch every crappy respitory infestation I come within half a mile of. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Another interesting point: We searched and searched around the 143 yard steel targets. We never did find "splats" down there. The slugs were simply exploding on the targets out there. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Julio, I'm with you. It's very hard to impress anyone anymore. The magic moment lasts for a shorter and shorter time. Shooters who are new to big bore airguns, are simply amazed by a 32 caliber 100 grain bullet smaking a steel target and knocking it flat. After a few years of reading about it, you could knock a locomotive clean off it's rails with an airgun, and barely get a comment.by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Just to add ... Of course, there's bullet BC and there's the fact that heavy bullets carry velocity longer than lighter bullets. However; at reasonable distances ... projectiles of the same velocity describe pretty much the same flight path. So; there's no way to beat the physics of gravity for any given velocity. We were all amazed at the retained energy at 200 for this airgun. Gaby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Now Lon .... Ya see .... there's always someone that makes it all sound unusable. Anybody hears 8' drop ... and next you start defending "rainbow" trajectories again. Launching slugs into the clouds and setting the timer to wait for them to get to the target. Looking at the Yukon shooting 200 yards ... it's sitting there appearing exactly the same as it is shooting 50 yards. We usedby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Here are the recovered splats off the "Bell" target. Hung out at 200 yards, this was a flat plate steel bell shaped silhouette. The gun firing the slug was the 62 Yukon. Running off of HP Air, it was projecting it's slug of approx. 566 grains for approx. 735 foot pounds of muzzle energy. Even though the bell had been pounded many times, it was hard to find the splats. They were between theby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well - you had to bring up Bobcats ... didn't you? You recall that I let one go, after watcing it for 20-30 minutes from a tree stand .... thinking it to be protected. Then, I missed my next opportunity at a fair shot by misjudging the distance. I was seriously bummed. Kent got a beautiful one with his 87 Chief Justice. What a magnificant looking animal.
