Hello Karl, Thanks. I do have a ton of pics ... pre-digital though. In fact ... most are carved on stone tablets ... haha. I'll have to take some pics of pics. There's over 1,300 of them. I'll have to pick a few ... thanks. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Well, we beat it down the road, leaving at 4am. Stayed on the road, and waited for this nice place to open the next morning. Yummmmm Yes ... the Pancake place had a gift shop .... .... and with the Timber Wolf to show .... and it was cold and rainy that morning ... well .... hahaha At the Cajun Cup ... we had first class transportation. If I'm not mistaken, I saw that you hit that 1/4" heavy steel target on edge, three times in a row, before you slid it off the back of the timber perch. Not bad shooting at 100 yrds. That rifle just makes long range easy. I'm extremely pleased that you like it. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Barrel is 30 inches. Always interests me when someone says that the lines of something that have never existed before don't suit them. If all we made were copies of existing units, it would be a very boring world. Form follows function. I usually make an effort to totally ignore requests to make my unique mechanical designs mimic some totally unrelated item. Julio also bought the Nebula 2 off the secondary market. That's very modern too.by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Delivered to Julio at the 3rd Annual Mississippi Cajun Shoot. Dedicated long range Bench rifle. Note the bench weight under the pressure tube for long range work. Easily removes when desired. Vastly power adjustable. Huge variation in slug weights and psi operation available. Although, at the shoot, Julio was still knocking over the extremely heavy steel targets at 143 yards with the bishby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Good for you! You are correct about the young man's game. I suspect it factored into my back issues. Have fun though. Looks fine. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well ... Gee Lon ... what about conversing with the fine folks here on the forum .... hummmm?by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Joe, Can you believe ... I shot enough big bore to pinch the median nerve in my right arm somewhere. Middle fingers are all tingly and I can't stand to do much "mouse" work to process pics. Maybe later in the week. Was a great time. Others will have to post some pics. ;?) Here's Julio's gun ... all the clicking I can stand now. 8mm Prairie Hawk. Hey - you were invited Neil. I can't help that you didn't want to fly a measly 15,000 miles to enjoy it with us ....by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Tom, Yeah ... just need somebody to do that tight Luger checkering. My head would explode with the repetition - but it looks neat. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Glad you like it. I'm always amazed, myself, when it comes out so well. I'm not as dumb as I look ... hahaa. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Tom, At Mississippi ... the Timber Wolf pounded the 143 yard targets and the 200 yard bell, with no trouble at all. With one of my 4X Turkey scopes no less. Glad you like it. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Looks fine Joe. Are you pounding out Damascus now? Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Missed you guys, and others. Sorry you were not available. We had a wonderful time. Weather was perfect ... or better. Food was amazing. There was also a table in the barn, full of fresh fruit, cookies, with sodas, water, juices ... yummm. Coffee was on in the War Wagon. Lots of shooting. Man ... everybody was nailing the 143 yard targets ... and the 200 yard bell! Very satisfyinby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Danny, Same as any PCP ever built. They're all tunable. Run them hotter - less shots. Run them softer - more shots. Add a bigger/heavier reservoir ... more shots either way. It's all physics and it depends upon what a customer thinks is important to them. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Joebill! Thanks very much. Will be fun to wring it out for performance since completion. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

It's a sheath. A wrap. Section near the recvr. allows the breech slide to telescope inside. 11mm dovetail at the junction of the 1" / 3/4" sections. Dovetail also at the muzzle for sights or front scope mount. Assembly allows all dovetail sections to be a match. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Yeah - a lot of people threw up on their shoes when I showed the brass sleeve system. That's the risk (and beauty) of showing pics along the way. Of course, everybody knows that a long rifle should have a nice octagon barrel about an inch and a half across the flats ... Well, since "the rest of the parts" of a Kentucky amount to a half oz. lock and weightless brass trigger ... that works. Anby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well, it's complete. I like it. Hope you enjoy seeing it. I can post more pics later, if you want to see any detail I missed.by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Griffin, I looks great! Nice job. Hey - once you start doing extra work to make things nicer, it never ends. hahah. That's the way to go though. Very nice indeed. Thanks for posting it too! Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Allen, Thanks for the comments. I'm very interested in your research. I understand the difference in valve lock you are quoting. I still don't understand the logic though. 4,500 psi is 4,500 psi. That's pressure acting on the surface area of the valve head. That pressure, and the area (factor of diameter) of the valve head, is the determining factor of what's holding the valveby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Allen, Interesting stuff there. The part I'm missing, didn't seem to be included though. I understand that you said valve lock occurs at a different psi ... that's interesting, and I can't imagine why. But ... what I'm missing is the "relative difference" between performance at the "same" psi between the two gases. The other question was that of sealing. Let us know when you deterby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Forgot ... etching. Let me edge in here while there's a lull in the posting ... All of the Damascus steels can be etched. The acid attacks the different alloys at different rates. The relative differences between rate of attacks shows the different steels of the composition. Different acids are used for different purposes, in different strengths, and at different temperatures. My oh my .... I don't know what to wear! The grey or the black Barnes Pneumatic shirt? But then, I have a black hat but not a grey one ... or ... I don't really need a hat. But ... my bald head might reflect in the lens .... This is a lot of stress you know ... It will be fun. Thanks. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Kent, Thanks for your comments. I appreciate it. There are about four basic families of "Damascus (or laminated) Steels". There's the oldest, which is the traditional Japanese blade. Smelted from iron bearing sand, the "bloom" is forge welded, folded, and welded many times. To refine the mass into tool steel. Second, there's the "Wootz" steel. After a long wait. It's done. I sincerely hope you enjoy it. Julio has left the details to me for the look and finishes. And ... wants to be surprised. So; unless he changes his mind ... I'll show it later. This is the third one I've assembled this week. And a couple of more are close behind. Things eventually get done. ;?) Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
