Right ... And, on the way home from town a couple of hours ago ... there were two deer ... grazing ... on the wide shoulder grassy area. I mean ... like cattle. Full daylight. Glad you enjoyed the story Griffin, Wasn't quite the Marathon it may seem. "hang pc. of camo cloth on two existing protruding thingies ... 24 seconds", "hang second curtain of camo cloth (later) on two OTHER existing protruding thingies ... 33 seconds (I got tired and slowed down as I went ... hahah)." Hello Alex, Thanks very much! That's very thorough, I appreciate it. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thank you Lon. Sincerely. I've needed a cool head to sort this out. I've gone out and drapped all three cars with netting. Both sides of each. Then, I wove netting into and around every possible flat surface up under the car port's roof structure. There were 93 of them. It took awhile ... but I feel better now. I'll start the training of the bird, in the morning. If you'd like toby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

I wondered when you'd appear with your clipboard, pencil, and pipe. ;?) Let me hit the high spots again: Three cars doors/windows, covered in crap, scratches, and some waxy smear. All fresh - each day - despite daily washes. Bird is ON the cars when you see it. Pellets/Glass/Paint .... not a good mix. Middle of town. Only safe shot is up under the car port roof. Hey Cedric, You're not going all "Metro" on us ... are ya? hahaha. Has been a good post. I can't imagine it's soooooo difficult to get folks to show their guns. It's great when we manage to get a peek. Sort of feel like we're dealing in Extraterrestials. The evidence of some of these guns existing is so slim as to seem mere vapor. Hi Lon, I know little or nothing about these things. So - the 2240's are CO2 then? That's great. Pumping this thing is a drain and time consuming. I don't know how much of a "respected tuner" I might be ... but I made a decent trigger out of these parts. And, the receiver was designed to use the stock bolt and barrel, unaltered for either. Even used the back receiver blued steel "cby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

If you've followed this Saga, you may think I'm completely nuts. May be. However; how do you get rid of a pest this intent upon endlessly screwing with your cars, and making such a horrible mess. Kelly also did a bit of a net search, and found that Robins are amazingly territorial ... and, once they nest, they will attack people repeatedly. Absurd. What a crazy experience. I've lived here for 30 years .... my cars have been here .... in the car port and driveway ... and we've NEVER had such a case of "Bird Terrorism" as with this one psyco Robin. There's been two stories running together here. One - that of the crazy Robin. Two - that of Gary trying to use an old stock Crossman 1377 to get rid of the pest. Hi Cedric, Thanks. I wondered about that one. haha. Working for yourself, it seems if you are conscious, you are on duty. I also "did" reseal the gun. And .... check in on the new post regarding Phase 3. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Karl's 45 Nitro Express has been in the shop for repair. It's finished. I'll test it as soon as the rain lets up. I have the chrono now. Hope everything tests well, and we'll get it shipped back. I know someone will ask, "What was wrong?" A firing lever broke. Not sure why. Did it just fail because it was not correct? Maybe. Oh Sure ... YUCK IT UP Cedric!!! Old Gary has a Crossman ... and I have this private mobile gun show .... hehehe. Great video. You've got the whole editing thing down. Loved the "Survivor Man" footage too. You had me convinced ... I BARELY saw you sneak by. hehehe. Excellent shooting. Good video. Thanks for the post buddy. I'm not hearing anything about a "fair trial" in New York City for him. What did the Attorney General, and the President say; "We're gonna give Kalek a fair trial ... and then hang him no matter what the jury finds?" Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Griffin, Got the pics now. Thanks. Those are dead rats ... you bet. I recognize that pistol. haha. That's the one. Mine worked just fine until the sights got all fuzzy. I guess they get that way after about 27 years or so ... haha. I also like things that are mechanical. Things that can be seen. Cedric, You're trouble man. I actually pulled the trigger block off the gun again around 9:30 Sun. evening. Nobody can fault that ... right??? Well, maybe. Anyway ... I decided to alter the geometry inside the design, to make the pull easier. I think Gunner had mentioned a mod about a wheel modification inside. Thanks for the post Griffin, Good story. Good to get the youngsters started. Good to get rid of the rats! I can't get the pics, I'm afraid. They just load and load ... and never show up. Sorry. Maybe later. GAryby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Good going Donny! Those are great. Very nice pics too. That is really taking it to the max on a simple frame. Thanks for sharing. Finally got that chrono. Now - when it stops raining, I can get finished up here. ;?) Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Ha hah, Well, I did do a quickie trigger job. I think to get any accuracy from this gun, I'd need to design a new trigger system. This is pretty counter productive for a nice target trigger. You get it very light, and it wouldn't hold consistently. I'll keep it in mind. I'd love to smack this bird. I can't imagine the thing is sooooooooo "tuned in". This is far more of a "game animal"by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
The Demon Bird story might have brought out a LOT more 1377 stories and pics. Who's got modified ones? What was done to the trigger? Can anybody actually hit stuff? Who's selling good barrels for them? Lon ... weren't you making parts for guns? The way this trigger is designed, it would seem a complete new design would be required to get this pistol so you could actually pull the trigby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well Lon ... Kelly says the stupid Robins don't eat seeds - they eat worms. So, now I have to build a "Worm Feeder" ... hahah. A bit harder ... and really disgusting too .... Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Lon, You know - this thing is so spooky now. I had a shot awhile ago. Crosshairs on it perfectly. Pop .... and the thing disappears. I thought it wasn't POSSIBLE to miss it again. So ... is it wounded ... AGAIN? Will it be back .... AGAIN? I know if it can, it will. I did a ten minute trigger job on this. Polished the sear - put a lighter spring in it. Update: It's still here. The car's windows and doors are still covered. I can't get a shot at the thing. I've tried from several different angles. Whenever I spot the thing, it either has glass behind it, or it sees me and flies away. Most crazy thing I've ever seen. Hi Neil, Well, it continues. Saw a Robin on my car mirror - pecking the heck out of the passenger window. Of course, I was on the driver's side ... watching thru the car. Loaded gun. The Saga continues! A block of wood - set out yesterday, at the spot I'd missed the bird before. About 18 yards. Sure ... I can hit the block!!! haha I thought the crazed lunatic bird had left last evening, after the last shot. Perhaps learned a lesson from being "dusted" a couple of times.
