Hi Jim, Thanks for the comments. Well .... it's the ratio of good luck to bad luck that produces the net atmosphere. The net, either allows you to work efficiently, or forces you to work while dragging chains. I've had some good luck and many blessings. And ... even more than my share of the other. One of the "gifts" I've always had, has been the ability to annoy people with whom I'by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Griffin, Story for you: In late 1964, my grandfather Edward, lay dying in the hospital. The rules of the day said you had to be 12 years old to visit. I was barely 10, but was big for my age, and seemed older. They decided to let me visit. It was just before Christmas. I know because we'd taken along a small Christmas tree, lights, and ornaments. We decorated it for my Grandfathby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Hi Neil, That's one of Jerry's ledger spots - yes. Here's a better pic of the detail. I took these last evening, and picked the wrong one for the finished show. You will note the detail applied after the first few rounds (first pics). The first pics are of a style that can stand alone - and look great. This degree of detail moves the whole thing along a few more levels. Hopefully it giveby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Thanks Sean, Just for clarity, this technique would be termed as "relief carving". It's accomplished with rotary tools. When I engrave, it's with a single point steel chisel. There are many different styles. In this one, the background material is removed to a good depth. In others, the background is simply ornamented by stamping designs on it (small circles or crosshatch is typical).by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
It's now finished ... that was the previous stage. Thanks. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Took it out last evening at dusk. Shot a bunch of lead thru it, to make sure it functions well. Shot a couple of quick targets as the evening closed in. 50 yards ... Bishops. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Just got back from testing Karl's Nitro. It went well. I used all available light - hey ... these chronos don't work in the dark though. Who knew. I was just kiddin' ya, and trying to get a line on the Nikon Cool Pix comment. I thought you must have been using your small Nikon outside, when I was in the trailer and couldn't see. Yes ... they called the hot line. After going thru the phone tree (which was Kelly and I just kidding around back and forth ... "if you are using a telephone ... push 4 ..." "If you cannot understand me ... push ten" ...... They recognized that I contained just what they were seeking. In fact ... I think the direct quote was ... "You're full of it!" Jim, So - was the first video then, shot with the Cool Pix? The three gun comparison? I know I used Jerry's Casio for the last video posted. It's time to replace my pocket camera. Too much dust, banging into milling machine handles, etc. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Nice video Jerry. Got a good laugh out of the product placement segment. Very subtle. I like it. I got a call from a place that composts the manure from male bovines. They seemed to think I was just the spokesperson they've been looking for! Can't thank you enough. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Sean, It sounds like an absolutely ..... delightful? ...... trip. I appreciate you posting. Especially, since it's been quite a few years now, since I went on vacation ... I don't even want to now. haha. Garyby barnespneumatic - I'm just sayin'
Here's the extent of my pic taking yesterday with the Sony. Jim had Nikons with enormous lenses laying on every flat surface all day. We barely had room for guns! He should have a pic or two (if he got the film back yet ... haha). Here's Jerry wringing out the Dragon for Donny (it's owner in Hawaii). Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks for posting Jerry, Yeah ... the sound idea was a good one ... that couldn't work without the reader wearing ear cups anyway! haha. I've been working on a Yukon this week, as much as possible. That's been the bulk of my shop work. Trying to get it to the stage of firing. Not far off now. We had family needs this week again.
