Actually, I forgot to say congratulations to Scott. Scott, you are a lucky man! Looking forward to seeing it in action. And Gary, I was only kidding, it really is a work of art Regards Neilby neilmcp - Gary's Galleries
Jim, you gonna put wheels on that shed? Gary's got wheels on his.......by neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well, it looks...OK....for someone else. Scott, maybe......but if it was for me,it would look, well....SENSATIONAL!!!......But it's not for me.....so it looks, well...OK. Congratulations, sort of, Gary......by neilmcp - Gary's Galleries
Fine looking gun and fine looking group! Regards Neilby neilmcp - The Picture Gallery
Gary, I think it looks like a good group....but can't quite see it....I'll just get my binoculars.....maybe you could take the photo from closer than 50 yards next time? Hehe Neilby neilmcp - The Target Trophy Lodge
Cheers Jim. The Avalanche sounds like a monster!by neilmcp - The Target Trophy Lodge
Thanks Jerry. The jury is still out on the best slug. I had a look back and found I had shot a slightly smaller group some months ago, with those 115 grain flat-nose slugs you sent me. Haven't been able to get any consistency yet, but that will come as I get better at shooting this gun, I hope!by neilmcp - The Target Trophy Lodge
Watch it Kent, before long she'll be a better shot than you, and if she is anything like my son, she'll never let you forget it Regards Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Nice groups from that big bigbore!! Cheers Neilby neilmcp - The Target Trophy Lodge
I tried to shoot some groups with the DAQ Exile .308 the other night and the slugs flew in all directions. A friend suggested the front barrel band might be loose and upon checking it was, so the barrel had been flopping all over the place. I sorted that out and today shot all sorts of slugs (from tiny 68 grain hollow points to 158 grain flat-nose slugs) at 50 yards, looking for the best "slug ofby neilmcp - The Target Trophy Lodge
Sounds like Jim has it all in hand! Now, to find a razor blade big enough to slice one of Gary's slugs in half....... Jerry, a nicely coloured Raptor would look impressive carved in two! One of my favourites is #13, the clear Christmas ornament filled with water = pure hydrostatic shock Jim, you might need to borrow Gary's muzzler to keep the noise down OK, I think I have everyone orby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
When I say we, I kinda mean you, or Gary, or Jim, or....someone other than me!!!! But those pics are special Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Now that's what I like, watching the lead fly to the target!!! Good stuff Jerry!!!by neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Nice work with the camera Jerry. You can see how heavy Gary's gopher is when it hits the deck in that first video, and shakes, rattles and rolls that piece of ply..... Love those ballistic gel shots too. When are you getting your ultra slowmo camera Jerry, I wanna see the bullet in the air?by neilmcp - Video Library
Hehehe...did someone say "Gary has left the stadium"? That war wagon is impressive, talk about shooting in comfort....and nice 100 yard group Jerry! Regards Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well guys, it's nice that someone got out today, it rained all weekend here But Gary, it's hardly fair that you made that gopher stand up in that pose inviting to be shot Lookin' forward to Jerry's films....... Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Nice work Gary! That'll please the owner.... And try as I might, I can't see any mistakes Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
But wait, what did St George use? Doesn't Gary have to get on his horse and charge this fire-breathing beast with a sword or a lance?by neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Wow Jerry, that initial impact is something to behold! Any poor animal on the receiving end of that isn't going to go far... Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Video Library
Wow Gary, it's incredible the precision/skill/patience/art involved....do you ever have an accident, a slip of the hand, and if so do you revise the design a little to compensate? Cheers Neilby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, much obliged, I now have a design team working on this and my factory in China will begin production soon And sorry about the outdoors Heheheheheheby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Jim, that's impressive!by neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, I think you killed it Interested to hear about your muzzler. When I'm target shooting my big bores around home and not using a silencer, I use what I call a "Boom box", which is literally a customwood box with a slit in each end, filled with sound absorbing materials. I do this to try to keep noise levels down out of respect for wife and distant neighbours (gun shots echo hugely up our vby neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, I made a cheap mount for my camera a month or so back, using the scope ring method you mention. I used the camera mount off a very cheap tripod clamped into the scope mount. It allows the camera to swivel, which will be fine on the Falcon but I'm sure on a big bore the camera will get jolted off target. Haven't done any testing yet but will do soon, and will post on it.....by neilmcp - The Gear Shack
Now Jim, that's not fair, flaunting it like that A couple of questions, do you shoot Raptors through it, does it have a small air reservoir or is there air in the stock, and what sort of fpe/fps are you getting? OK, so that's 3 questions...by neilmcp - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I shot a few of those R.E.A.L's you sent me and both weights seemed to fit well. I sent a handful up to the gunmaker and he got best accuracy out of the light ones..258 grains I think. Your sizing was good I think.by neilmcp - The Picture Gallery
I'm having to be real patient Gary. It's going back to the manufacturer, as he's not happy with some of the chrony figures I've sent him. I suspect it will be 3 or 4 weeks before I can sling some decent lead.....by neilmcp - The Picture Gallery
Gary, I was referring to the 909, not the poor wee goat!!........this was the first time my hunting companions had been exposed to a big bore airgun, and they were amazed how it knocked the goat over....I think one of them says "That sat down quick" or something similar.by neilmcp - The Hunting Camp
Paul, all I can say about a big bore is don't touch one...as soon as you do it's all over and you'll never be the same again!by neilmcp - The Hunting Camp
