Thanks Bob, I’m making this one a little “meaner” per request. Bit heavier blade. Gonna wrap a heavier spring. Let’s see how that works out. Thanks for helping. I may need an extra hand to stuff this one. Haha. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thks Kurt I haven’t made many 97A’s. I’ll make more if there is an interest. Thks. I do think they are interesting. And handy. There are quite a few things to design in and make tooling for. Fortunately that lasts well. I’m on it.by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

It was a long tense day ... but here are the sides straight out of the sealer coat. You can see my custom mix hit a really nice dark matte blue. I’m grateful The Anodizing must cure now, and then will be cleaned and hand rubbed. Yay. That was tense. I hadn’t done it in awhile. I’m very pleased. Sorry if you read and the post “Perspective” was all messed up. I had a nightmare with it. There was a flag embedded in editing and copying that would NOT allow me to move, edit, rename, reprint ... there was a wall that , no matter what I did, it would only print the post to a certain point and not beyond. I finally found a work around.by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
We once took our Grandson to a mini Circus that had sat up in town. There was the opportunity to “Sit on an Elephant!” They had a staircase pushed up to the standing Elephant. It wore a platform atop, with a railing and seats. I took Jordan up the steps. We stepped aboard. The rest of our group took our pics. As we prepared to descend, our Grandson Jordan spoke out loudly, in his litby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thank you Bob, I hope you and Jana had a great Christmas. Anodizing is very complex. Especially to recall all the details, temperatures, timing, mixes, etc. Once I have all this out and correct again, I hope to do a couple of the other speculation pcs. which are on the bench. Thank you for participating Bob Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Color Anodizing is a complex procedure. Anodized Aluminum has the color trapped WITHIN the Super Hard Oxide Layer produces by changing aluminum into aluminum oxide. At a certain point in the procedure, you can inject specific dye inside the molecular structure (when the pores are open). And then, when you close the pores (with time, heat, and chemicals), the dye is trapped like the ink within tatby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Bob, I hear you. Please let me answer as best I can. I regret there isn’t a quick simple answer. I’m sitting here this morning having coffee while my meds kick in. I’ve started to feel good enough, and was just going to the shop when I saw your post. That’s pain med for my lower back, SI joint, right hip, groin, and leg. Hi Kurt, Yeah, you can see the Wild Child in that fella in the pic. Haha. I’ll try to tone it down a notch. That Bad Boy Buggy has been great. All electric 4wd. so I don’t wake the neighbors when jumping ditches at midnight! I hope you are well. Thanks for posting. Best New Year to ya, Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
My Barnes Pneumatic Executive Golf Cart is fixed!!!! Yayyyyy! The CEO and COO spent yesterday removing the Passenger front leaf spring, welding it, and replacing it! It is doing service this morning. A leaf Spring is a tricky thing to fix/weld. I hope the details are correct and it holds. The cart has been an enormous help here. Early mornings are extremely painful. THREAD REOPENED!!! Sorry, I must have bumped the button. Too easy to do. Please comment if desired. Hope you have a great Christmas! I was working til midnight Christmas Eve. I hope you are all having a Blessed Christmas. Despite 48 years of Professional experience, I was up til midnight Christmas Eve ... finishing gifts. I’ve worked long days every day I had Shingles. I don’t recommend either. Ha. But the show must go on. Consider: the gifts had to be nice but there wasn’t a lot of math, precise milling, vile chemicals, etc. involved. Even so; was a bummerby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
And now, 4-5 days down the road, I can tell you it hurts. All these things are issues I try to juggle while trying to work. I learned a whopping number of skills that I fight to practice. I’d rather be using them - effectively. Longer. Thinking clearly. I hope you are ok. Hope Christmas is arriving in a civilized manner at your home. Hope your plans turn out. Thanks Kurt, Yeah ... you know you have to be pretty healthy to swallow that antiviral pill. It’s sort of a cross between a stick of butter and a door knob. I think it’s intended to sort out the survivors. Ok. Sleep. That honkin blue one will really put you to sleep if you don’t fight it from the 30 thru the 90 minute mark. Good one Kurt! ... cause Shingles ... hah. Well they are crunchy. They are strong like a baked cracker for a dip like hummus. (Google it Kurt ...) The Ranch ones have a good flavor built in. Hey, it’s something I can eat. Did you all know I changed my diet for diabetes and ... just like that ... I lost 58 pounds. (And half my muscle mass). Hey, Blood Pressure loves it. I felt like I had a metal splinter in my thigh a few days ago. Examination yielded nothing. In a couple of days ... the area was covered with a painful rash. Yeah, I know you are ahead of me. I am your poster child for lower back heat patch wraps - Gary. There’s another thing to ask for for Christmas stocking stuffers! Oh yeah. I hope all is well with you. Hi Guys, It’s been busy here. The Boss has her “List”, and it needed to be progressed for Thanksgiving and Christmas. With that, I’ve been working on a 97 Auto. Thk you Scott, Much appreciated. We wish you blessings as well. We had lots of folks over. It was a fine day. Lots of prep work. Much of it will last to be enjoyed for a while now. We had a bunch of Grand Children. I think these were from about 12-23. Thereabouts. Actually, one of our granddaughters is 28. But she couldn’t join us. Wow ...time flies. I’ll be 67 on Sunday. “Rod through the block ... just a flesh wound”, for an antique tractor. Hah. I suspect every one of those old Fords they ever built, has been found and restored by now. Course, to hear their owners, all they needed was a paint touch up and fresh gas. Haha. Enjoy. Those are Classics. Thanks Scott Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
