Thks Pedro, Have had a season of headaches and Back torment. It’s been over the limit of “it’ll be alright”. It’s been “bench interrupting”. Thanks for your empathy my friend. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I’m back To make sure ... I’m not downing CNC. Or the Crossbow. Hah. To be sure, you’d hardly want a factory full of “Artists” making your products. Heaven help us. They’d all be different. They’d be done as soon an the Artists could finish them ... time for each variable. And the respect I speak of for the Artists are maybe better described as courtesy. Hello Peter, Thank you for your post. I know that you have considerable experience in programming for CNC machines. That gives you a special appreciation for the technology developed as an alternative to what came before. Readers, please bear with me. I sincerely believe this is relevant and interesting. I’m aware I haven’t shown a variety of new things. And, I’m aware that everyone isn’t interested in things they aren’t interested in, just because I made them. Please keep a couple of things in mind, if you’ll do me a favor please. An example just crossed my mind. IF someone were a Professional Lumber Jack ... Funny, in the pic with the three raised Case parts, two of them are interlocked at their hinges. Note: None of these panels are polished yet. I put them up to show progress clips along the way. I wanted you to note the crisp outlines around the objects portrayed. And the texture indications within the borders of the objects. As we’ve discussed before, I must use maybe ten thousandths of depth to portray the image. Remember - this is a repeat due to an accidental delete. If you responded earlier ... please repeat your reply. The pic above shown the copper first pressing. Thanks for the few who have wished me well. It’s been noted and appreciated. Let’s start this way: The White Beard at the Bench has been working in spite of some serious pain. Probably the most sustained pain and the most active areas of pain. That makes for an uncomfortable work day. Starts and ends same times. Packs in more ouch per hour (OPH). In shifting thru shop drawings, I ran across this design. From 12/06; I liked it. One morning Kelly turned on shop lights for me. She mentioned how she had seen and loved that drawing from 06! The card with the drawing was still on my desk. That was it. We agreed to make it, and work it into my products. Hope you like it too. It will cover the entire lid for the Liberty Case Design. I spent a very long day. It actually went fairly well. I didn’t hurt terribly. Any time I can get in as much work as fighting pain, it’s a decent day. Today, I got in “more” work then pain! Right ... if I knew what I did correct ... I’d do that every day. I have found one thing I’ll tell you. Maybe it will help someone else. Fact: meds mess with your sleep. I got the Knife, Sheath, and the Liberty Case finished. I’m working on an Oak Case (the Prototype), and I had parts for an earlier Liberty Case. A previous Prototype. It has a couple of features that are just a hair different from what I last decided upon. I had made the parts to a slightly different technique. It was lying here, pushed aside; and I saw it. “Well ... that’s dumb .... fiby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I finished this Case. Took a bit longer. I’ve felt rough quite a bit lately. But ... love the Case. I sent pics to the customer. That’s one more case complete. Thank You for your interest and business. This is 48 years as a professional shop. Quite a few more before going public. I love tools. If you saw all the tools, Dies, jigs, gauges, patterns, notes ... required to make one of these cases ... your jaw would drop. Mine did. Haha. Hope you are enjoying them. Must get this complete! I’m in the shop, working and hurting. There’s no coma between those last two, because there’s no choice. I’m doing both together, and that sets the pace. There have been some rough weeks lately. The meds that were doing the job before, are not up to the task recently. Sorry to mention it again, but it’s the valid reason behind my slow pace. Hi Kurt, I work mainly with 50 ton and 20 ton. I wish I had a 60 ton. A lot of my Dies are on the edge of capacity. From what I’ve run across, prices make a jump I can’t handle between 50 and 60 ton bottle jacks. If anybody was wondering what to get me for Christmas ... ooohhhh ... a footba.... 60 ton bottle jack. I carved an entire set of Oak Leaf and Acorn Dies. I got a good response from the idea of a Case with this theme. Here is the First Press of the First Die. I know ... it’s been forever. I get ideas that result in very nice products and accessories. But the details required to complete them, seem endless. Note here. This isn’t simply “put a clip on it”. It’s “you can’t have the heads of screws inside the case to grind up the knife.” “So there has to be recessed space for those screw heads.” “So that space has to be molded into the hot Kydex while the Shby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

We’re rough and tough, and will be working on these great projects. Don’t feel bad for me. I enjoy the Shop. And Kelly enjoys her gardens. So we’re better here than traveling. My old back doesn’t travel well anyway. We have a great Kydex and Stainless Sheath for a 97A, and we have a Liberty Case. If time allows, we have plenty of new Dies to print.
