Gary, Nice to have you back in civilization again! No wonder we finally got some pictures... Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Ouch Gary, A sap to the temple... Ya know, I remember a bunch of the old guys carrying those things when I first went to work. They could put a whole lot of hurtin on you in a very short time, for sure! I hadn't heard of, or thought of, one of those in years. Now I know how the dinosaurs must have felt! You have some interesting stuff hidden in those piles, but that copper knife looks toby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Kurt, What a great story. I grew up hearing about Loveless knives, but even years ago they were to expensive to buy. He was a trendsetter of sorts and his quality was high. That is quite a collection to find them all together as a set. Just like your Barnes collection will be! Thanks for the info. Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Kurt, I wish it was that cool here, and I'm not even in Florida. It's been running in the high 90's most of the end of July and about all of August. I have worked many a day in the last couple of weeks with the heat index between 105 and 110 degrees. You are correct - it sux! Fall down here isn't that great, but I am well within close enough driving distance to enjoy it anyway. Lookingby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Wow, that is a bunch. I'm sure it is difficult with the brain going a 100 miles a creative hour. Florida is such a paradise. I think I'll move there one day - NOT. Heck, I'm as close as I want to get already. Hang in there the best you can!!! Later,. Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, That's an interesting pair. They must be brothers. The second one has quite a different expression from the first. I think he just saw his first Sabre Toothed Tiger. A lot of difference in the coloring too. I like em both! Thanks for sharing, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Been having one of those days, mixed with a 'throw it out' day too. Have a good one! Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, I have to agree on the correction, although I don't know what it means either. Hang in there. Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Very nice Gary, I like it. The pictures are great. Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Pedro, That's funny. I'd almost say that somebody had too much time on their hands, but it is worth a chuckle! Heck, these days so many people are good at computer stuff that it probably only took a couple of minutes of their time. Thanks for sharing, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Gary, GREAT IDEA! I don't think I have ever seen those. Make sure you plan one for that Daughter-in-law knife I asked Kelly to 'nudge' you about . Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, We all need a forum to cry/dump on occasionally. Back when we actually communicated with each other and had 'real' not just 'virtual' friends we called it a 'shoulder' - haha... Just gotta keep it real ! Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Kelly, That is a beautiful knife. Give Gary a nudge... I still have a daughter-in-law who doesn't have a Barnes knife! Nice work Gary. Gees Kurt, I didn't even know that Gerber made knives like that. It sounds cool. I gave my daughter a Kershaw assisted open knife when she went in the Coast Guard (can't remember the model name), and she said that for the next five years she had to cby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Gary, I know that all you want to say is "not again!" Sorry Bro, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I think you will love it Kurt! later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Gary, I didn't take it that way at all. I appreciate the assist from you and just want to be sure that I pay my fair share. I'm glad to do it! BTW I got the knife yesterday and it is beautiful. Unfortunately it has already left the nest and has gone on to another family member... I need to stop showing off my Barnes items. And, it has a beautiful new lanyard through that pristine newby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Pedrog, That room 'pops' now! Nice job, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I love it when an unexpected Christmas arrives! Just don't let one of those burrs get under your saddle... Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Ok all of you machinists quit teasing us normal humans . It just hurts too much! Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, It sounds like a bit of frustration, victory, elation and disappointment all at one time. At least, with your skill set, you can turn all of those parts into something useful and beautiful. Most of us would just be at a loss. I hope the new plan works out and your produce a masterpiece. Good on ya! Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Gary, Thanks very much for the info! I can't wait to get that knife. I have already figured the shipping cost into the amount, but not the trouble! I will recalculate everything when I get it. I hope that you at least enjoyed your trip off the reservation. Have a great day. Thanks, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Gary, I can't wait to get hold of that knife! Thanks for the extra effort. Now listening to some Pete Fountain music. So sorry that I never got to see him live or in the Mardi Gras parade. Truly one of a kind. His funereal will be on August 17th and then a second line celebration. One of the greats! Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
The Woman. Sounds like that came out of a Sherlock Holmes script LOL. Nope, you won't be able to keep that quiet once the others see it. They will all want one! Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hey Gary, Now that is a "BEAUTIFUL HOLE!" (Insert your own double entendre here! ) I didn't mean to cause you that kind of extra work, but it sure is a beauty. Send me a note of the final cost please. I too, share the frustration at the poor quality of the cheap yard work gear. I know I didn't buy the top of the line, but I did expect serviceability beyond one use! It looks like you have tby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Very clever! Now what is the count up to for the other kids that need one too? Have fun, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Very nice! I'm sure he will be a PROUD owner. Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Amen Gary, amen, That was the way it rained when I last left Barnes Pneumatic South to return home. Might as well have been swimming! Enjoy your time in the shop, but don't overdo it (again, yeah, I know) . Later, Jeffby jcwward2 - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
