Anybody notice ... on the video ... the muzzle falls BELOW the line of the bullet streaking away ... during the microsecond shown in the still image. No "muzzle flip" in this gun ... Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Rabbit, Got your notes - thanks. Regarding a sort of "set back" stock, with a normal action installed ... it could work, with mods. It might have the look of a shoulder fired Gernade launcher though. I honestly don't know how stable it would be. When the center of balance is that close to the center of mass, the thing sort of wants to spin on the axis. Any error you make at the muby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Did some work on the trigger block / hammer group today. Takes a good bit of time to make a fine trigger. Just that cocking stud with it's solid brass component it a lot of work. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I made several parts for that today. A few days of work will get that firing. It's going to be a fine rifle. Then, the Alder Delta 32, and Rearick Tundra are in the mix. Along with several others I've mentioned lately. I'm aware that I'm a supreme disappointment to everybody except the particular owner of the gun on the bench "today". No matter what I get accomplished ... it's .... unby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Neil, You're a good guesser. The paper is torn, but it looks like about .88" or .90" ... thereabouts. Surely under MOA. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Neil, No - I didn't. It's on the wall in the War Wagon. I'll measure it for you. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Well, you cleaned that right down to the rind! haha. Thanks for posting! Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks for stopping by the Airgun Rendezvous. I hope you find some interesting things to enjoy. I just wanted to remind you that it's a very simple thing to join, and then we'd like to include you in our conversations. I'm sure you have experiences to add to the mix. If you've read here for any time, you'll note that I'm always trying to get the guns out of the gun cabinets, and onto theby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Kent, You caught me slummin' here on the AR., when I should be in the shop. haha. On the first fire testing, I ran those slugs 920 with a bit more air. At the range, while I took the chrono, I never got to it. I set the regulator for 3,000 psi at the range, and did my testing. I sort of recalled the velocity from the night before. I had a "battery rodeo" with the Casio cameraby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Neil, Hey - I have to send you a dollar too! Thanks for the comment. We watched all the names come and go last night, say nothing, and figured I'd done something awful here. Glad you found it interesting. Loved the chorus line of tipped hats. haha. Yep - my life is a bowl of cherries alright. You nailed me. At least the guns shoot when they are complete. Oh ... Takes a bit longer than one group to get used to a gun. Especially one that's trying to toss you off before 8 seconds ... haha. I was pretty pleased with that 100 yard group. Since it was THE 2nd group the gun ever shot! Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Jerry, Thanks. I'll send you a buck for commenting ... This stuff is just "expected" ya know.by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Took the 58 Cuda for some function fire testing at the range field. All went very well. The pics explain themselves. I also have a bunch of video clips that I'll do later.by barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Neil, While he looks like me (many times during each week) ... that's a fellow I hired to "de-bug" the new designs. Get it ... ? De-Bug the designs ... .... hahah. He came highly recommended and qualified. Yeah ... the gun is pretty smoky - for sure. I'll get it to the range, and then get something else on the bench. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I got the "Cuda" ready for it's "First Fire" test cycle. And, it exceeded projections. The rifle as tested this evening. I even had Jerry on the phone as a witness to the events - and he quickly ran the numbers thru his computer to give the energy figures. I'd targeted 600 fpe for the gun. I knew that would be exceptional for an AIR gun in a bullpup format. Here's a shot ofby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Good show Jerry. Hey - getting 300 fpe out of the Woodsman's 32 insert ... you've been buying aftermarket stuff again .... haven't you? ... haha GAryby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

I'll have a nice hard cap on the pistol grip bottom. Coming soon. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Joe, This takes up the least room, and struck me as perfect for this application. It will look totally different when I sculpt the wood some. Thanks for the comment, Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks Don, I'm glad you like it. I'll be interested to see how it feels on the bench. I've always liked front heavy bench guns, but there's always chatter about these. I think someone actually now makes what they market as a bullpup sniper design in firearms. Not sure how that worked out - but I seem to recall a mention of same in an NRA magazine. I've kept my power estimates conservatby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Neil, Glad you like it. No owner has been discussed here. Jim mentioned Kent's wood's walk. The gun might be at a weekend shoot later this year which Kent is hosting. Can't wait to get it into the field! Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Jim, Glad you like it. Yeah - it's just a little plinker. The mercury would act like what's called a "dead blow hammer". Where there's a moveable weight that travels with the head. Once the head strikes, and before it can recoil ... the weight catches up and applies a second strike to cancel out felt recoil. Good application. Rigby might catch on yet ... hahah. Hello Danny, In the pic, the hammer is cocked. (Spring group not yet installed during trigger tuning). Glad you like it. Thanks. Garyby barnespneumatic - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
The gun is holding pressure here. There is a list of things to complete before "First Fire", so; I've not shot it yet. The stock is just two dimensional at this point. There will be quite a bit of molding which will bring it to life. There are many compound curves that will give it movement. The gun has about 20% of the presence here, that it will have. Hi Joebill, It's going well. I had a couple of other things to take care of (like this little micro-burst that tore up the patio a couple of days ago - wierd). Today I took an hour and stuck brake pads on the front of Kelly's van - cause I'm soooo tired of being ripped off.
