wow, you have been busy. They all look really nice! Those should really speak to people into jewelry and make great gifts for sure. Pedroby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
Really nice wall hangers! Great for people who want the memory of being at the beach. Must take an artistic eye as I couldn't do it. I used to draw but didn't keep it up after my teens. Hope they move in the store. Pedroby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
Hi Gary, Really like the colors. The blue goes well with the anchor. Do you seal the patina or just let it naturally continue? Pedroby pedrog - I'm just sayin'
Hello Airgun Rendezvous members, Sorry I missed this post, Gary texted me and wanted to be sure we had seen it. Appreciate it! Maria really likes the pendant and cannot believe someone she doesn't know would buy it for her. Thanks so much for the gift of this "Faith pendant and to whoever donated it. Faith is the only thing left really, other than relying on the doctors, nurses and modern mby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Hi Gary, Very cool. Copper has interesting characteristics. The Patina is really neat. The company I work for makes a copper clad option for windows and doors. We chemically and flame Patina the copper to match existing old windows and doors, or just add the aged look for the customer. Some experience is required to learn the different affects. Looks like you know a few of them! Hopeby pedrog - I'm just sayin'

Hello All, I haven't been on much for awhile. My wife is having chemo once a week for a total of 18 weeks. We are now down to another 13 weeks left. Last week was rough as she gets a chemo drug that is hard on the body. Today she had the other drug which is a little more tolerable. Next week is same drug and then the cycle repeats. So it's 2 weeks decent and 1 week bad. For the most part hby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary & Kelly, Looks like you both had an enjoyable day! To bad the timing was off. Nice that you could enjoy a breakfast, I am sure it was good. Maria and I thought we were getting a visitor Sunday afternoon. Waiting, waiting, finally Maria, my wife, called her sister and she answered. (She lives 1.5 hours away.) I was like "she hasn't even left yet?" A little frustrating. Turns out Maby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That is such a great idea of incorporating a ball bearing to deal with the torque. I may have to steal this idea for the 308 I still need to finish. It has a long spring and might help. You keep slowly sharing ideas like this on how you build your rifles of the next 20 years, I will soon know all your tricks Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, "Not bad at all", that is incredible! All handmade. It really shows off the skills you have accumulated over the many years. The many little things you have incorporated to improve the performance of the rifle. Would have never thought of adding ball bearings to the spring/hammer. This is just another example of your ingenuity. I think we knew the rifle would turn out well. Now we havby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Great woodwork! Do you use a varnish or linseed oil? Love how it all comes together. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Enjoyed seeing all the parts come together. Rather quickly as well from what I could tell. Great stock work and machining. Thanks for taking us along on the build. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
SWEET. I just logged on and there you are posting the completed rifle! Just wiped the drool from my chin Looking forward to seeing the groups and numbers. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Labels lol. I know I am under the umbrella. Find a tool, why do I have this... etc. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Only the incoming PSI controlled the hits. Not familiar enough with these devices to know how to do it otherwise. I guess changing the air chamber for the stroke would change it as well?by pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Wow, I had no idea! Glad to hear she is a survivor. Cannot have been easy. God bless you both. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Kurt, Thanks for your comments.Sorry to hear that your wife had cancer but also glad to hear she is a survivor. I cannot imagine the cost of cancer treatment, in Canada our healthcare covers almost everything. Thankfully as I have heard of stories in the USA where people had to re mortgage homes, etc. Faith is the only thing left. Doctors told us from day one that ovarian cancer is thby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I will try to find the drawings, no luck so far. If not sketch some drawings and send them over to you. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Man, you started without us! Must be just to much fun! Going to be a lot of wood dust by the time the stock is complete. I am sure you are wearing a mask. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Since I made my own engraver a long while back I had read up on angles for engraving. Bit needs all the right angles to cut well. So seeing what your produce just shows how you nailed it! Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
You have GAC, Garry's Arm Control. lol Nice work my friend, that takes experience to pull that off! Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Secret? or just forgot why you made it? lol Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello All, I haven't been very busy lately. Mostly I was at home last few weeks but have been working a little more recently. Some know, most do not, my wife was diagnosed with ovarian cancer Dec. 14th. It has been a roller-coaster ride ever since. We haven't been told her stage by a doctor, but from reading about it she is Stage 4A. Chemotherapy is to reduce the two tumors so that surgeryby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I get that it has to be sharp. I work for a window company that makes all wood windows. Most of our tooling is carbide or super sharp high speed steel. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Oh my Kurt, I almost feel for you. Up here in Manitoba we had -50 Celsius (-58 F) wind chill and temperature was at -40 C, (-40F). A couple of years ago was even colder for a week. I know we build houses differently up here than most areas its due to the cold. Long as everyone is safe, that's what is important. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Looks like that cutter mills really well! 97, that's only 22 years old. I didn't know you had a CNC. I assume you are roughing out as much wood as possible before manually tackling the remaining profile? Nice to see you are making progress and some neat tooling you use along the way. Thanks for sharing. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, Great work, looks like fun! Some interesting and long endmills! Did you make them or add extensions? Looks like a really tight fit with the barrel, reservoir etc. Wood is amazingly different from metal when machining.I like how you layed out all the lines for milling, less chance or error. Getting closer to completion. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, WOW, breaking 1000 FPS. Amazing but of course you lowered the weight of the slug to accomplish this. None the less still something. It will be interesting to see how the lighter ammo groups verses the heavier, slower FPS slugs. Must have been loud firing in your shop? Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That is a lot of wood! What you carve out of the wood will be something unique once again! I am by no means a wood worker, but can appreciate working with wood from the little I have done. Looking forward to seeing this rifle come together as it has been a long while since you have completed a rifle. Pedroby pedrog - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
