Hi Gary, Sorry about the staggered edit on the post. Thought you would appreciate the shoe lace handle. Smooth side and rough wrapped together then end tucked. A little white glue locks it all together. The only power tools used was on my reflex/deflex to cut the profile and window. All tillering was done with rasp and scrapers while the bow was held in a padded vice. Then lots of exerby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Here's what you are looking for Gary. The girls began shooting 4H archery last year. Eric from Tx had mentioned that he was hunting with bows he had made from laminated blanks. I contacted the site and got the "you finish youth bow" and let the kids do the sanding and finishing for their first bows. Here's the handle on Emily's youth bow. Leather wrapped. Got out with the Barnes 32 cal Victory. Had a predator call in my pocket. The pitch was close enough for me to mimic a crow and this one stopped by to take a look. It was about 40 yards away at the top of a pecan tree. Dropped it with one Hornady 32 cal buckshot. Even though this is Kelli's gun, also our first Barnes, it's always been one of my favorites. Way to go Scott, always a trophy when you use a short range gun to effectively hunt game. Kentby Cajun Justice - The Hunting Camp
Looks like a nice day at the beach! Glad you got to enjoy some of this nice weather before the cold snap. Not a fan of the cats. I don't let them run on the property due to the damage they do to the wildlife. I'd rather let the snakes, fox, bobcats, and raptors get the mice. I'm sure it will be no time before the chips start flying again, Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Happy New Year!!! The boys here, myself included, did a polar bear swim in the pond today. The girls are all under the weather. Anyone else take a plunge? Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Good to see you are out shooting. I'm sure your neighbors are fine with your shooting. FYI, Here in the South, we exercise our rights and are happy to hear others doing the same at appropriate times. In Florida as long as you are not shooting onto someone elses property or endangering life or property you are within the law. That's with firearms, and it doesn't appear to have any laws for airby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That's some great progess you're showing! I'm just starting my collection of tools. I'll know I'm getting closer to useful in the shop when I can make my own tools like those.by Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Funny how the congress just voted armed Secret Service protection for the former presidents kids, while your child at school is left helpless by the GUN FREE ZONE. BTW those SS are carring full auto assault weapons. Get your carry permit and be a patriot. The 2nd amendment is not for you to hunt or target shoot, it is to keep all your other individual rights intact. It is amazing how maby Cajun Justice - I'm just sayin'
Hi Danny and Gary, Amazing that the little difference in the meplat would make such a big difference in performance. The slug I was using was undersize and I tried multiple methods of increasing the diameter without success. Teflon tape seemed like a good idea. So now I shoot only Barnes designed SureFIre cast slugs and Hornady buckshot. They always do the job if I do my part. If Iby Cajun Justice - The Hunting Camp
Nice post Danny! Seems to me the slug performed well, depositing all its energy in the animal. Having the penetration required and more importantly the accuracy to place the shot is paramount with airgun energies. IMHO. Now if you are going to use this on smaller game a big'ol hollow base wadcutter shot backwards would give you what you want. Hornady has a 148 grain .358 diameter which I thinkby Cajun Justice - The Hunting Camp
Great looking gun. I for one would love to hear it POP! As for the silencer issue. The "gun culture" here is very strong and aussie style confiscation would be the tipping point for the tyranny of the left. The rest of the western world is lessened by their bowing to these gun confiscators. Remember no one is responsible for your safety but you. Bob Costas and his ilk be damned. HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARY!!! Hope the kids get feeling better quick. Got a couple of sick ones here as well. May the days to come be full of good memories and adventures to be had. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary I think you are spot on with your range. i would for go the new pond the alligators will scare all the wildlife away, including the armadillos. FYI, the armadillo is the only natural reservoir for leprosy but they are so cute when little. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, that's some big progress there! I hope you are not wasting the opportunity to get in the record books with the world's largest plastic wrap ball. It's all looking very promising now. Soon we will know you've settled in, not when the chips are on the ground but when you no longer sweep them up from the "new" floor. FYI, just ordered from ENCO 20percent off everything and free shipping.by Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Jim, It's not going to be any fun until you start shooting them. That allows them to fullfill their destiny as prey, and full fill your freezer as well.. Now do your part as top predator and earn those canines. YUM! BTW, the limp is just to help incite your carnal instinct, come on Jim, what does he have to do jump in front of you car on the highway? The Great Wall of Gary. Now that is a project well done. I wonder what the aliens will sumise it was/is use might be. I hope you lined it up with some celestial body on the vernal equinox. That should work wonders. Your closest neighbors will be hard pressed to hear anything. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I think you may become dangerous with that chipper. If you use it to fill your mulch wall, I don't think you'll have any standing trees on the property. Hey, why don't you combine the mulch wall with the worm farm opertunity and it will pay for itself. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Oooohh, Oooohh, Ooohh I know the one about the Grid! That is used to compose your picture with the 1/3rd rule. You can place your subject at the 1/3 line to make it visually interesting. Of course now you can do all that so easily post picture with Photoshop etc. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Yes, I did doze off. Still making up for a few missed winks from the visit and call this weekend. As I was saying before the intermission.... it won't be long before the first guns from BPS roll out the door. As Julio and I were discussing during the visit, the peace and beauty of your new surroundings will show in the new guns. I guess that's like the wine that tells the story of the graby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

I'm glad you were able to get the next injections of the series done. The fungal infections will be a disaster for those who had the bad luck to get tainted medication. Ironically it was excessive FDA regulation that led to the shutdown of the generic manufacturers of generic medications. These shortages forced medical clinic to seek compounding pharmacies for these meds. Yes, these patients arby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, you are moving right along! I can't wait for the tools to start spinning as I think the new BPS will have guns flying out the door. I love the G'pa clock. With all your recent finds in the shop, I must admit the talk last week about finding Jimmy Hoffa in a work shop, had me fearing that you may have gotten a little deep than planned. Sorry about your truck troubles. Glad you can see the silver lining in not having the issue become a disaster. Hope you have some time to enjoy S.O.B. I was on a mission as I flew past on the way to BPS or I would have stopped. May your stay be just long enough to enjoy the rollercoasters. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Glad to hear all the work is moving steadily forward. Your setup should make things a lot better than the previous version. Hope to see some chips flying soon, I know you have the same sentiment. Safe trip! Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That's great that you've found the antidote to the Yaupon. Now a BearCat sounds like something that deserves to be in the woods. My lowly Wallenstein sounds kind of nerdy and myopic, not something that you should be taking into the dark forest. But then my son explains that Wallenstein is "Stone Wall" in German and suddenly my Germanic Rebel chest swells with pride. Yea, it may not have a Motby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Sounds like you are getting a lot done toward getting back to gunsmithing. Here may be a tip for the code office. Get a permit to install a 200 amp breaker box, one 110 and one 220 outlet just below the box. You, or an electrician, can install this and have it inspected and thus get the power to your new building. All the future wiring can be done as needed without additional inspections or pby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
