Hey Gary, I think you may be on to something. Yeah, sure, the knives and airguns are nice and all, but what I REALLY want is a spray can of that special "smoke repellent" spray like you used on your exhaust fan. I just spent the last three days at the local Boy Scout camp and I could have really used some of the stuff; no matter which side of the camp fire I sit on, the smoke is drawn to me liby rotorhead - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
French cleats are totally the way to go when hanging cabinets that will need to carry significant weight, since you can ALWAYS get at least a couple of sturdy fasteners directly into studs. When I'm hanging store-bought pre-made medicine cabinets or small curiosity cabinets or such I typically discard the mounting hardware that comes with them since it's so difficult to precisely match up those tby rotorhead - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

My wife does most of the trimmer work around here, she has it out for the weeds and it makes her happy to give them a short haircut whenever she gets the chance. That said, we've gone back to a corded electric trimmer. Yes, it's a PITA to drag the cord around, but compared to getting our el-cheapo brand 2-stroke trimmer to both start AND stay running it's the easier option.by rotorhead - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Does Alaska count? It doesn't even start getting dark until after 10:00 pm this time of year, they don't start setting off fireworks till midnight. Just couldn't stay awake this time around.by rotorhead - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Sorry to hear it didn't go as hoped, life is like that all too often, isn't it? And the "what doesn't kill us makes us stronger" guy obviously never heard of stress fractures, or repetitive motion injury, or nerve damage, or...any number of things that don't make us either dead OR stronger. Or at least not dead right away....by rotorhead - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

the "no see 'ems" have been driving me nuts lately, they're so small you can't even tell they're there until they bite. For such a tiny insect they sure hurt, and it's weird how the pain usually seems to start a couple inches offset from their actual location. Our old Jeep has been in the shop almost three weeks now for a gas leak. Had to drop the tank, everything is rusted and hard to remove. The tank itself is fine, it's plastic. Could have been out two weeks ago but for one gasket they can't seem to get anywhere.by rotorhead - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Ironically, I ended up selling the only rifle I've owned that had the grey/black laminated stock that I like so much. It was a Rem 700ADL in 7mm mag., and it couldn't hold a five-group at 100 yards that would fit on to a paper plate. The first couple shots were usually pretty close to zero, but as the barrel heated up they'd start wandering all over the place. When you eventually get back to the autoshop and they finally have it fixed, the invoice will probably have a big red "86" on the top. For the next few weeks they'll flip the sign to "CLOSED" whenever they see a big green Dodge drive by.by rotorhead - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Wow...that's a lot of hours of work represented there. Most people will work a lifetime and have little (with the exception of their families) to show for what they've done when they're gone. Not the case here, this kind of craftsmanship will be appreciated long after you're gone. Not saying that we don't appreciate it now, mind you!by rotorhead - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I'm going to chime in here, better late than never? The canvas phenolic is phenomenal as a scale/handle/grip material, but color-wise the greens and blues just don't do it for me. Just personal taste, I suppose. If you had a hunk of the stuff in grey/black/charcoal it would be more interesting to me, or perhaps one with more brown/black. My favorite gun stocks tend to be the laminated ones with tby rotorhead - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hello Gary, Sometimes it seems that certain people are like a bad-luck magnet. If a thousand parts get made and one is faulty, of COURSE that's the one they get. On the other hand, sometimes a company either changes management or loses some key people and all of a sudden their formerly reliable work turns to crap. Hard to say which one this is, but I wouldn't discount the possibility thatby rotorhead - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Nice piece of work there Gary I've got the usual drawer full of holsters that I've accumulated over the years, and I do have to say that the kydex ones have definitely held up better over time than the traditional leather ones. It's especially noticeable in applications where they are exposed to moisture, either from the weather or sweat. The leather just falls apart or rots eventually, but thby rotorhead - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
