Hey Gary, Those look great! I'll take one. Merry Christmas Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary, Always interesting to see the additional tools used to make your creations complete. That looks like a perfect fit for a great knife. Looking forward to seeing the real piece setting in its protective case. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
HI Gary, The Barlow is a striking and useful design that would be perfect for everyday carry. One feature that I find very practical and helpful is a mechanism to perform a one handed opening. I have used one of your folders with a thumb stud as a daily companion till I had narrowed the blade with my overzealous sharpening. I then fitted a thumb stud to another of your knives and used it whiby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Hi Gary, As you know I have your mermaid pendant on my kayak hat. There's some Barnes bling on my wrist here too. Well the hat will eventually need replaced and i'm going to get the replacement ready now. Please set the Kraken pendant, below the seahorse, aside for me. Hope you get feeling better, Thanks, Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Congratulations to the new owner! That is a beautiful knife even in the "rough". The polish will make some nice pics. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, the rifling process has amazed me. If I remember correctly, the process of getting the uniform spiral involves the twisting of a square bar into a spiral which is the fed thru a "key". The cutting button rides the bar thru the barrel to cut the grooves. Fascinating that the twisting of the bar can be done so uniformly by hand! Just that little I have seen is amazing, but doesn't comeby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
I gathered a few pics from Cajun Cup competition. The Hoss is shown here with some different sights used. These are from a Cajun Cup competition in October 2010. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, I'm looking forward to watching the build! I know how much you've already put into the R&D and work so far. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Good question, Gary Keeping the hat on when upside down in water was done in part with superglue. Here's the mod with round leather belting, whip stitch with waxed string, superglue "grommet" at leather holes and decorative slip knot under the chin. I also reinforced the area around the aluminum wire holding Misty on. Can't lose Misty to the deep, wish I'd spent a little more time on secuby Cajun Justice - I'm just sayin'

Hi Gary, I'll commission a pendant. So here's the inspiration/inscription. Hi Gary, Here's Misty accessorizing my Kayak hat. The hat has worn out but Misty has been transferred to my new hat. She still sports the inscription of the "Cape San Blas 2016" trip on back. Always get lots of complements on my mermaid hat and my Barnes kayak cuff. As you know, I've been gifting your designs as commemorative jewelry for trips, races and family events. Hi Gary, I really like the nautical theme of the new dies. If you can inscribe the octopus, that'll put my name on it. Wow Gary, you really know how to put a fine point things! A knife is such a practical tool that I'm sure it will be reached for a thousand times. Mostly doing mundane but necessary chores but occasionally called on to cut someone loose from their webbing or chute. His hand will be practiced at unsheathing this knife without a glance. The edge will become an extension of his hand should it beby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That's a great sheath Gary! It should be standard issue for all special forces. It looks indestructible. The paracord lashable rivets should allow multiple points of wear, boot, vest belt thigh. I'll see about getting one out to the frogmen at Stennis for testing. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, that's an impressive mold blank, complete with Barnes logo! It looks like it would be a great training knife. That Kydex mold looks sleek and smooth. I agree that the time spent chasing parts for a project is my least favorite and most aggravating time waster. Always one short of a complete set. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Gary, That's a wonderful knife! You've hit the balance point described by the original designer of the SAS fighting dagger, but you knew that was where it was supposed to be. The camo handle is accented beautifully by the brass spacers. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Boy Gary that should make a big impression on the owner and anyone standing down range too! Fairbain, who taught the SAS knife skills and developed their fighting dagger, encouraged knife handling drills which would flash the blade to "win" the fight before it began by intimidation. That looks like it should win start to finish . I like the stacked look and the tusk may be just the ticket forby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
That's looking great Gary! That will make a beautiful dagger. Glad it is taking shape for a you. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Sorry to hear of the overload damage. I would be slow to close out the claim as some of the damage can show up over the next few months and may require an inspection to prove your claim. I'm thinking of the compressors for A/C and fridge in particular. Hope you can get it put back together quickly. Kentby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Gary, I really like the special touches. I know you find it hard to leave your creations at the silver level. I'll take this platinum level knife with the titanium scales. Mark it SOLD. Kentby Cajun Justice - Gary's Galleries

Hey Guys, Actually from the mid chest down we were neoprene wrapped into the kayak and warm as could be. The water was 20 degrees warmer than the air, so hands were good. In between its was 48 at the start and 41F at the finish. The paddle boarders that fell in to the water lingered for a while to warm back up! Kurt, You can really read a dog. She was not really pleased to be a gun rack, but I couldn't lay that gun on the ground and she wasn't going to move from guarding her squirrel. That bling is really Barnes camo, squirrels can't even see it! I can assure you this one didn't see this pellet coming. Good clean kill. Dogs love to hunt. Sprite gets so worked up when she hears the pssst from the fill line as it releases from the scuba valve. No formal hunt here just a walk around the property with dog and gun in tow. Here's a red squirrel that thought it was hiding from the dog HIGH on a branch of a pine tree. It just left too much of its head/chest exposed between a couple of twigs. One 25 cal heavy H/N Bby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Hi Y'all, I thought this might fit with the CNC vs Handcrafting theme. Kelli and I have built the Kraken. We have started mixing CNC with handcrafting kayaks to add some artistry that is beyond my current skill. It is very difficult to cut veneer as the blade will always want to track with the grain. It is also beyond my capabilities to reproduce some of these designs faithfully when duby Cajun Justice - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Beautiful knife Gary! Can't wait to see the rest of it. Looks like the improvements really accentuate this knife's lines. Kentby Cajun Justice - Gary's Galleries
Hi Y'all, Gary caught me using a recent Barnes creation while whittling a cutting board. It's an 18 ft racing kayak in another configuration. So I thought I would bring you all along on the build so far. Plans are fixed to plywood and cut out. These forms are attached to the strongback and you get to use a laser too! Hi Gary, I like the knife. I think the price is right. But I'll save you the trouble of shipping and pick it up, if you don't mind. It looks like the simplicity will show the makers touch every time it comes out of my pocket. I'll drop you the funds in the mail, but hang onto it till I get by.
