I call that a hart burr for stone setting in the jewelry trade. Usually use a setting burr though as that sharp angle catches. Oil of wintergreen is your friend.by watchman - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Great Story... Was he frightened at the sign of you menacing towards him? I know myself that we get so few visitors in this day and age it can be quite alarming. Then of course when i'm working on a project i get so grumpy and discourage any visitors, Later regretting that i wasn't more accommodating .Good for you for sticking with him.by watchman - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum

Up late I see.... Yeah, me too. Just watched a video on making a lathe cutter.. rake, relief end. Thats what i do on a friday evening. Interesting material you got there. Don't get stuck in that tar pit lest they find you in a million years. Steveby watchman - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Interesting setup you have there. Curious as to what that lathe was labeled as? I'm sure it wasn't marketed to a custom Airgun builder. It's interesting to me how machines are remade to fit the new user.by watchman - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
Thanks for chiming in. I've lost many parts and have spent hours on the floor with a big magnet finding parts. Some are never seen again. Just the nature of things i guess.by watchman - I'm just sayin'

I've got one in the showcase next to some watches. Not much traffic this time of year though and we missed the holiday rush. Need a spokesman to extol the health benefits of wearing a copper bracelet. Not sure what happened to that idea but i remember people going crazy over those copper and magnetic bracelets.by watchman - Airgun Rendezvous Main Forum
